He is a first cousin to George W Bush. He is the son of George H.W. Bush's brother, Jonathan. Thanks for clearing up that mystery, beckett!
HairOfTheDog: Here's some info on Billy Bush (I don't know how up-to-date this info is): Billy Bush - Access Hollywood
Bush was one of the hosts of "Countdown to the Oscars", which ran on ABC tonight 8-8:30pm ET.

Sting was playing the Hurdy Gurdy.
The hurdy-gurdy is a stringed instrument in which the strings are rubbed by a rosined wheel instead of a bow. The wheel is turned by the player's right hand, while the left hand plays the tune on the keys in the keybox. Two of the strings (usually), called the chanters or melody strings, run though the keybox and their vibrating length is shortened by the key pressing against it. Several drone strings are outside the keybox, and so sound the same note all the time. For this reason the hurdy-gurdy sounds similar to a bagpipe. A small movable bridge on one of the drones can be made to vibrate rhythmically by cranking the wheel harder, and this buzzing is used for a rhythmic accompanyment to the tune. A diagram of the parts is shown on a separate page.

We tried to get Dish Network to remove MTV from our feed. DN said that we could use 'parental controls' to block it.
We said....we don't want MTV to get any of our monthly fee. DN said...we know what you watch and if you do not watch MTV you reduce their profits....the more viewers MTV has ...the more MTV can charge for commericals....so by not watching MTV you have an effect.

The Wyndham Warwick in Houston Ironically, Houston's film fest was anchored there in the early 1990s when Renee Zelweger was making movies in Texas. The Houston Film Fest has tried to be about movies that don't have distributors though so even "independent" films are pruned out of competition here now.
Houston's festival has one of the best short film competitions. Everyone from David Lynch to George Lucas to Stephen Spielberg won their first awards in that competition. Ang Lee got an early award here too.

Me too. It seems he was prepared to be cut-off though and said his thanks to the soldiers very quicklyYes, and it brings up an interesting question. Why no limit for some winners' speeches, and others have no time limits? Seems to go against the liberal agenda, free and equal speech for ALL?
