SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.

The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Even though this is one of the better posts, that shows reason, and strategy for the Iraq war to have occurred. I am afraid main stream media will not pick this up or announce these as facts.

It would support the current administration. Which I support.

And

Although the ME is in turmoil, and there are many fanatics to pull off, small pain in the neck disturbances(everywhere). Fanatics from all countries I might add, it will be a UN upset for the current USA administration to win the election.

The information in post I am replying to is significant, get it in the news mainstream. That would be significant, I wouldn't hold my breath though.

As far as Russia, all they have time for is to look at the US through their periphial vision, and China well they are looking at a food economic disaster, right along with mainstream Asia.

So since all the pain in the neck antics of those who in a normally acting world would make little if no dent at all are exaggerated. Why?

Why?

As far as this thread being combative now when it wasn't, it always was just on a small scale.

It has grown up into a think tank, and think tanks are very brutal. Very.

Again my question. Why?

Doug Hagmann address this issue last evening while guest hosting on Steve Quayle's radio program. As a matter of fact there were two separate incidents he mentioned.

One or both of these events had/has the attention of the DHS if I remember correctly.

I believe he will update the website when some meat can be placed on those bare bones reports.

Hopefully, the same goes for AQ! (Sorry I posted the links without checking them out first. It was from, what I could tell, was Daleel's latest IH post.)

I have no idea who you are, or you me. I have but 1 nick.

My only question to you is.

Why do you not mention the gaining clarity of joining countries. I know why it is occurring, but this effort to diffuse people attention from it happening is interesting.

Agreed. And sacred cows exist in many places besides India.

Oh, dear. How about, Russia WAS a primary threat to us, until recently, as in until a year or two ago?

I think Russia was using Iraq, Iran, etc. as proxies against the US. But I really think and see evidence, that Bush succeeded, with words and actions, to convince Putin that Russia's interests are better served by being aligned with us, than against us. That doesn't mean we can fully trust them, but I personally think we can trust Putin more, than we can trust Chirac.

Among other things, note the way Russia didn't say a peep, when we withdrew from the ABM treaty. The Democrats were really upset, thought, that now we will be free to defend the US.

Is there really an election in Russia?.

No-hopers join Russia's one-horse election race
By Julius Strauss in Moscow January 13, 2004

(Article Snippet) "In a practice not seen in Russia since Soviet times, the Kremlin has put forward its own men to stand against Vladimir Putin in the presidential election in March"

I believe Communism is very much alive. Communism has not died, but it's main ideas have been absorbed into other political ideologies

There are 'Communist' parties in many countries, but only few governments today are controlled by 'Communists'. Many Communist ideas are alive and well right here in our own country.

Not all communists practice communism as proscribed by Marx and Engels, but several current and recent leaders have used communism to their advantage. Did you know North Korea's Kim Il Sung joined the Communist Party in his teens and worshipped Stalin?

Oh, for crying out loud, paranoid thinking from the coldwar, ignorance of Saudi and Pak as terror threats, no appartent knowledge of whahhbai jihadis, a fixation, an obsession on Russia, and we're expected to take you seriously.,

And contrary to your smug high handed condescending tone, anytime anybody questions you as i did, on the SaudiPak issue, you ignored it.

And when someone confronts you with facts or opinions all you offer are juvenile insults, acting as if you are the fount of all wisdom.

It's a good thing you're only an analyst on some private site rather than the govt.

You exemplify tunnelvision, groupthink, an inability to think outside of your preconceptions. That is not the mark of any kind of analyst, expcept incompetent ones who kowtow to their masters and provide them with what they want.

And you're talking facts? PuhLease.

Georgia is too cloe to home, when they see us involved in Georgia, Russia feels threatened, because they naturally want to retain influence over their neighbors, the countries, which used to be part of the old SU.

The world is very unstable and complex now, because it's multipolar.

""Maybe it's just me, but the tone of the thread seems different (more combative and hostile) the past couple of days than the other thousands of posts over the past three months"

---

I think it changed -- not just the past few days, but maybe a week or two. Earlier it was more a collaborative thread for discussion and sharing information.

Now it seems to have become more combattive, as you say, to put it mildly. It's a shame, because this is the beginning of the end of an interesting thread, as the many of the very people, who contributed good information fade away."

The truth is as I have stated earlier...This is not the thread to be discussing the election at all. This is not the thread to be working on getting Bush reelected. We all hold different resentments on that issue...So it is best that we don't talk about it here. It just causes a divide in us. Some us are weighing the need for a strong military leadership against the internal betrayal of American principles Which is destroying us almost as fast from the inside out. So that struggle goes on with many. Lets not talk about it here. That is not why we are here...Right ?

As for The war going on between NothingMan and Sean. Please cool it. We all have our beliefs and doubts in that area too. If you have Intel to add then please do so. But do it in a non combative way. And don't do it with relentless pounding! Have some respect for others.

I have to also agree about the tone of the thread getting a bit hostile lately. It's like some people think up a theory and if everybody else doesn't agree then all heck breaks loose. I look at this thread as an idealist (maybe not the right word), but a place where any news and any theories can be possible. We are dealing with a new type of enemy these days. I don't believe that it is Russia either. I think it is Islam; mostly. I know I am not as "well read" as most freepers, but I know when I worry about threats to our country and the main threat I ever worry about is China. Then North Korea (although I think they are mostly talk) and then Iran, then Russia. But like I said I'm not a person with a degree in anything or even very knowledgeable about world events up until the Bush/Gore election. That's when I started paying attention.
