[history]
Almost total silence.
Clinton began her spiel by introducing a quote from legendary Indian peace activist Mahatma Gandhi.
"He ran a gas station down in St. Louis."
It took two days before Hillary apologized. Sort of. And that, only after the head of the Gandhi Institute of Nonviolence, an organization founded by Gandhi's grandson, blasted her words as an ethnic "stereotype" that "could be incredibly harmful."

..."if Hillary 'had a history' of racism in her past" Anybody remember the flap over the FJB-bomb she threw? Seems to me she does have a history!

You seen this yet?
FUNNY!!
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/printedition/chi-0401080274jan08,1,6788118.story Gas station owner offers Clinton on-job education
Published January 8, 2004
My friend Amir Sabri owns three gas stations, but he's considering another business:
Educating Stereotypically Challenged Politicians, Inc.
As an immigrant with what some would consider an Indian accent, Sabri has unfortunately heard plenty of stupid stereotypes. But on Wednesday, thanks to videotape from Missouri, he heard one straight from the pursed lips of the stern mistress of political correction.
"I'm so angry with Hillary Clinton, I heard her on TV," Sabri said of the Democratic senator from New York. "She better go to diversity school."
Diversity school?...

The teflon queen.

I don't think a gas station managers pay could support Ghandi's "simple" lifestyle.

Well, it doesn't change what he achieved... Which was what? He was like Martin Luther, Nelson Mandela, Charles de Gaul, etc. in that he (Gandhi) didn't create any sort of nationalistic movement, protest, action(s) against, opposition to, etc. re: the British Raj. His chief role, historically speaking, is that he became the figure head. This is not to say no contributes were ever made to the cause, only that he was not the alpha-and-omega some histories (and historians) would have us believe.

<< Actually Ghandi was a pedophile with an obsession with bodily wastes, but that's another story. >>
As is the one about the fact he was a Hitler sympathizer.
Not too much [Anything at all?] about that loin-clothed bloody ratbag that bears examination.

Yeah CNN is reporting that this racist gaffe would have more weight if Hillary 'had a history' of racism in her past. Apparently, they missed that incident in 1996 when she adopted a fake "black" accent to poke fun at San Francisco's mayor Willy Brown.

Diversity school?...
You may have something there--blast talk radio, C-Span, email newspapers - Demanding diversity school for Mrs. William Clinton, also know as Hillary Rodham Clinton, X-First Lady (that's in question) of the Impeached X-President and most recently, the senator from NY.
She should have known better. Besides, it would force news to play the scene, over and over, exposing the mentally unhealthy side of this woman.

His chief role, historically speaking, is that he became the figure head. This is not to say no contributes were ever made to the cause, only that he was not the alpha-and-omega some histories (and historians) would have us believe. Most historians agree that Ghandi only succeeded because he was dealing with Britain, a nation that still held to some semblance of Christian principles. If Ghandi had been dealing with say, Nazi Germany, he would have been shot - end of story.

You're referring to this comment aren't you? I saved this, as some things just shouldn't be forgotten.
"...After learning that the Republicans were dumping Trent Lott as Majority Leader in the Senate, Hillary Clinton commented, "What [Lott] did was state publicly what many of them [i.e. Republicans] have stated privately over many years in the back roads and back streets of the South."
What she was really insinuating was that anyone associated in any way with Republicanism/Conservatism/Nonliberalism is really, at heart, a racist. And of Course she got a Media Pass on that one too!!! I cannot imagine what we have done, as Americans, to deserve such a fate as having this woman in elective office.

Glad you saved that nasty, egregious quote- I remember it well. Of course it is backhanded bigotry, and of course the lapdog Media gave her a pass, in part because they agree silently.
