Fumes at Capitol, Hazmat crews on scene
FoxNews ^ | Jan 3, 2003 | FoxNews

FoxNews breaking reports:

Fumes at the senate side of the Capitol. Hazmat crews called to the scene.

At the same time they also mentioned that there is a restoration project going on, and that could also be the origin of the fumes.

But the police is taking no chances and dispatched a hazmat crew. It wasn't clear from the report, whether the Hazmat team is already at the Capitol or not.

FWIW -- it may or may not be terrorist related. But clearly, because of the orange alert, nobody is taking any chances and dismissing things without thorough investigation.

Actually the reason was stated: Duplicate thread, with a link to this thread. We only need one thread per article/ event.

My spare bedroom with all my computer stuff has suffered from strange fumes over the holidays. Seems to have been a failed cooling fan in the computer, and an overheating transformer.

I had that at work one time- a nasty, burning plastic smell, then the monitor actually started smoking! Be careful.

Oh dear, this is not good for your computer.

the smell you noticed was from the plastic resin matrix that makes up the heart of your mother board.

==

I think it's because this thread was up first.

When something happens, frequently multiple people post it within a short period of time and they ususally only leave up the first one posted.
