Must have been just a coincidence the the tribunal was formed one week before Saddam was caught. What about the DNA testing? You can't do that in less than a week.
LA Slimes reporter just asked about the War Crimes Tribunal and will Saddam be turned over to them.

LA Times question: "On the first day of the war, you reported that early strikes had gotten Saddam Hussein. Isn't it obvious, in hindsight, that you were WRONG then? And isn't it true that the Iraqis will be dissapointed that Saddam Hussein is still alive?"
Sarcasm OFF.

And now I suppose we'll be taking all kinds of crap for showing footage of Saddam captured. "Humiliating" for him, exploitative, against Geneva convention, against international law, etc. etc.
Gosh, I wish I knew what the Iraqis in the room were shouting. If it's the equivalent of beating the TV screen with shoes, or something.
To: TomGuy
LA Times: Wants to know when Saddam will be turned over to Iraqi's.
Sanchez: Hasn't been determined yet.
Iraqi: Question to the doctor
Answer: Bringing one Iraq during transition period... before and in a few months we will have a full powerful government to take care of business. Anyway, this matter will be discussed later... he will face a trial as all people who have committed inhuman crimes... I will ask the Iraqi council to declare during this week a national holiday. ALlah is great ALLAH HU ACKBAR!

ABC's military "expert" (a Army Mag. Gen.) said at 7:10AM EST before the official announcement of Saddam's capture that his arrest had (paraphrase) "no tactical or strategic value."How could he possibly say that since Saddam can broker a deal now if he comes clean on the WMDs - either he tells us he had them and he destroyed them, gave them to various baddies, or hid them for future use. The capture of Saddam is huge.
More importantly, does the DNC have enough time to fax out new talking points before the morning talking head shows, or will they all be working with Friday eve's script, 'We still haven't captured Saddam Hussien or Osama!'
