The chairman of the New Mexico Republican Party said on Saturday that Donald Trump will win the states five electoral college votes in the presidential election next week.
What do you think the presidents chances in New Mexico on Tuesday?, Matt Boyle, Breitbarts Washington political editor, asked New Mexico GOP Chairman Steve Pearce on Sirius XMs Breitbart News Saturday.
The president called about ten days ago to ask that exact question, Pearce said. I told him, Sir, youre going to win on election day. Our job is keeping the win for you, keeping them from cheating their way into defeating the president.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in New Mexico by eight points, 48 percent to 40 percent.
The polls do have the president down anywhere from six to ten [points in New Mexico], but I will tell you , we have three million total contacts, 2.1 million phone calls, 900,000 doors knocked since January of this year, Pearce added.
A lot of those doors since August have been Democrat doors. Ive knocked many of those places personally. Theyre not usually hospitable to Republicans. So I was somewhat nervous when I would ask our door knocking teams, Hows it going out there in this area? Oh fine, theyre inviting us in. Theyre wanting to look at the literature. They want to know about our judges. They say theyre voting for Trump, and theyre just trying to figure out how far down the ballot to go voting Republicans.
When you hear that from lifelong Democrats here in the state, in the numbers that our door knocking teams are hearing, Im just telling you, the polls are not correct.

I wish I could find it, but didn’t the GOP make the same claim on Election Day in 2016??
“Like what the Romans did to Carthage?”
Yep.
Again, I am a rancher and petroleum engineer. Not remotely a tree hugger.
But what solar panels do to land is completely unforgivable.
And that’s just when things are working right. You get a massive hail storm (which we have in NM), the glass breaks, and rain washes cadmium into the soil.
I’d take an oil well next to my house in a second, in comparison.
If this is true, then it is extraordinary. I figured they would remain blue. If NM goes red, that will be truly amazing. I don’t hold out much hope for CO in that regard. NV will be red. I also think there’s a fair chance NY will also go red.
My daughter is in Albuquerque and she says the same things about that governor.
This is just hard to believe. In fact I’m wondering if I’m reading it wrong.
“GOP Chair in New Mexico Says Trump Will Win State”
—
The GOP Chair says that? Wow.
What did you expect him to say?
She’s worse than the Michigan governer (Gretchen Witmer or whatever).
We’re just a small state, so no one notices what a POS she is.
The NM constitution doesn't allow for citizen referendums. There are two constitutional amendments, put on the ballot by the Democratic controlled legislature.
The one to defeat would change membership on the Public Regulation Commission from elected positions to appointment by the governor. The Dems voted that one through for general election approval, because the current PRC opposed some of the RadDem governor's effort to transition to AOC's green new deal. Everyone here in the oil patch know that she would appoint radical environmental progressives to the commission so voters will vote NO on it.
Isn’t this what the Cylons did to the Earth in Battlestar Galactica?
Dang, I was wondering how tough PVs were. Doesnt look like they could take bullets if hailstones can shatter them.
Good to hear the confidence, now lets make it happen in reality!
I'm in NE OK...And what I see is total ignorance...Wind Mills...that the ONLY way they got built was GOB money....Then they get waver's to kill X number of Bald Eagles?????
What the HELL???
Hard to believe. If it’s true, it’s a Trump landslide.
There are two Republican judges up for election to NM Supreme Court and three for the appellate courts, and there have been good TV spots tying the current Dem judges to the governor and pushing for their election to change that.
They may have done it, but in New Mexico it can be easily made to ‘unhappen’. The level of government corruption in New Mexico equals and thing that Chicago can come up with plus there a lot of desert to bury the bodies. (14 year resident)
'We had to destroy the environment in order to save it.'
I would think a bullet would just go through relatively neatly.
Hail here is often softball or larger and going 90mph.
It will go right through shingle and plywood roof if not built correctly.
