The head of the Republican National Committee promises that the Republican nominee will have his party's full support -- no matter who it is.
Responding to a question from Fox News' Sean Hannity Thursday night, Reince Priebus said he was confident he could pull his party together even if Texas Sen. Ted Cruz or real estate mogul Donald Trump win the nomination.
"One hundred percent. You know the unifying thing about what I have to do is no matter who you're for everyone can agree that we have to have a national party and infrastructure that has its act together ... everyone is gonna get behind whoever the winner is," Priebus said. "Whoever the delegates of our party choose, that's going to be the nominee and our party is gonna be behind that person 110 percent to save this country."(continued)

The same GOPe Chamber of Commerce types that are spending a hundred million to defeat ‘Tea Party’ candidates?
And Karl Rove will need to be kept on a leash with a muzzle around his mouth.
Rancid penis, get a job, a real job.
don’t need you
I find that difficult to believe; Rancid is wishful thinking, but maybe he can do it. It would be great if he could.
Priebus is starting to realize which side his bread is buttered.
I am 100% certain that we will rally behind both: A Trump/Cruz ticket. Now that’s the ticket!
That’s a certainty.
I’d like to say that Rove is worthless, but he’s too vicious and spiteful to be worthless. Trouble is, he’s only of value to the other side.
Why does anyone support this asshole and the RNC? They’re worse than worthless.
Yes. He’s an empty suit.
It’s very sad, since we both can recall when he was called the architect here, with admiration.
Actually, it is in a way. But I have this feeling it would only be done as an organizational survival tactic. I’ll bet their own internal investigations and polling tell them they are in deep, deep kimchi with that electorate associated with ‘Republican’, and not just conservatives.
They may do it, but it will be half hearted and token, IMO. Only just enough to tell the ‘Republicans’ out there “Hey, we did out part [mostly]”
For my two senators back in 2006 when they jumped on that Bush/McCain bandwagon, they first issued statements of support but very quickly backtracked because they got b!tch slapped back to 1900 by the constituents.
They changed their tunes, but didn’t change their hearts, and they were back at their old tricks in months. And it would be like that with the GOP here. Their hearts wouldn’t be in it.
Yes...I seem to remember the term “Magnificent Bustard” (or variations thereof). At least one part of that is still true. :0)
Yep. Him, Hume, Noonan, and a whole host of folks I trusted and admired. Then came the tea party candidates and eventually Trump. All the masks fell off.
I am now down to a handful of folks I trust to be who they portray themselves to be.
The campaign thus far has proven that we don’t need him..or the RNC. He’s playing a catch up role at best.
Yee Gods, do not drop the soap!
But President Trump is going to have to know who in DC he can depend on to not sabotage his initiatives to save the USA. He needs RNC support to sort this out. Otherwise, the backstabbing elitist save their asses pols will side with the oppposition.
But would he? It would be more incharacter for the RNC along with the McConnellites and Ryanites to direct Republican money to undermining a Conservative candidate and, while not openly pushing Mrs, Bill, being cold to the conservative and pointing out his supposed failings.
They cannot be trusted. They might act like they are supporting Trump (or Cruz) but they would only be doing it to ‘stay in the game’. They all need to be demolished. They aren’t all of a sudden going to be different.
