The 2016 predictions are starting to look very good for Donald Trump, with a growing number of political pundits seeing the Republican front-runner as having a very good -- or even the best -- chance at winning the presidential election.
Trump took over the lead in Republican polls this summer and has held onto it through a series of controversies, including a call to ban all non-U.S. Muslims from entering the country. Through all that, his lead has actually grown, and as the calendar turns to 2016, he has started to put rivals Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio in his rear view.
CNN has now referred to Trump as a "dominant force," noting that he is far ahead of Cruz in the latest CNN/ORC poll. Trump reached 39 percent support, more than double Cruz's 18 percent.
Others say the early primaries will be key, and if Trump can win early and extend this streak as voting moves to more moderate states, then support may build around him and sweep him to the nomination.
Donald Trump has been boastful of his status as front-runner, often sharing polls that show him atop the field, and has his own 2016 prediction. Trump said this week that the race will boil down to a two-man battle with Ted Cruz....

Go, Trump!
The people know that Trump is the ONLY redress for what has happened to our country. They will vote accordingly.
If !Yeb! were out in front with nearly 40% of the support they’d be calling him “Presumptive Nominee”
At this point it should be obvious that the nominee is either Cruz or Trump. There are no other candidates with enough support.
Trump and/or Cruz, actually.
Just wondering.
Regarding the forecasts for 2015 this time last year.
Did (anyone) anywhere correctly forecast Trump to run, and to become such a huge success at it as well?
Anyone?

LOL — Ain’t that the truth. And the same would apply if the despicable LIAR Marco Rubio was ahead.
As I’ve said before, CRuz is a chisel, Trump is a jackhammer.
Any other time a chisel would do. But today, we need a jackhammer.
The donor class controls ALL candidates, republican, democrat, conservative, moderate or liberal. There is not a single candidate out there who does not have a rich donor. That is why they all are for the cheap labor express, with a path to legal status for illegals, more H1-B visa cheap foreign workers from India to replace American workers.
But this time we have one candidate who can not be controlled by any special interest. He is free to act in the interest of the country as a whole instead of the special interests. He is old enough to want that legacy. And rich enough to ignore the donor class.
Go Donald Trump! Make America Great again! You are the last hope.
Very possible. It’s also very possible that he loses a primary or caucus or two and if that happens, most likely things change.
He and Cruz are extremely tight in Iowa (many polls show Cruz leading), and there are a couple of people within shouting distance in New Hampshire.
Anything could happen at this point. Well, almost anything.
Cruz barely outpolls Rubio....... he will be a non-factor
The Donald is certainly in the best position of anyone to do what has to be done to take back America. He is beholden to no hidden special interests (doing it on his own dime), and he has the charisma and magnetism of personality to attract a sufficiently wide cross-section of voters to win a popular vote, even in areas that have had a particularly blue coloration for years.
Diamond and Silk, the “Stump for Trump girls”, have been doing a great job of selling The Donald in an unfamiliar venue for most Republicans - in the majority black districts in many big cities. They have gotten death threats, but they are not backing down, nosiree, Bob.
As Trumps VP, CRuz will be unstoppable in 8 years.
My old friends in Iowa (I lived there from 1974 to 2002) tell me Cruz is winning.
Trump has donors.
Nope.
Only thing anyone was saying is that it was Hillary's for the taking.
And Freepers were saying that Jeb was her insurance.
Love those gals! They might be a factor in Trump getting upwards of 40% (and counting!) of the black vote. Now there’s a YUGE story the LSM is ignoring big time!
IMO, Trump’s going to surprise a lot of people in November; namely, he’s going to get a lot of democrat votes: blacks, hispanic, white union votes, all of whom are fed up with democrat stupidity, political correctness and hypocrisy.
Buying 3 hats from Trump web-site does not count as a rich donor.
Yes, Cruz is Santorum repeat.
