The 2016 predictions are starting to look very good for Donald Trump, with a growing number of political pundits seeing the Republican front-runner as having a very good -- or even the best -- chance at winning the presidential election.
Trump took over the lead in Republican polls this summer and has held onto it through a series of controversies, including a call to ban all non-U.S. Muslims from entering the country. Through all that, his lead has actually grown, and as the calendar turns to 2016, he has started to put rivals Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio in his rear view.
CNN has now referred to Trump as a "dominant force," noting that he is far ahead of Cruz in the latest CNN/ORC poll. Trump reached 39 percent support, more than double Cruz's 18 percent.
Others say the early primaries will be key, and if Trump can win early and extend this streak as voting moves to more moderate states, then support may build around him and sweep him to the nomination.
Donald Trump has been boastful of his status as front-runner, often sharing polls that show him atop the field, and has his own 2016 prediction. Trump said this week that the race will boil down to a two-man battle with Ted Cruz....

Teddy is a nice guy politician, but Trump will destroy America's enemies in his four years in the corner office. Trump's apprentice will take the captain's chair in 2020.
Sweater Vest had $100 million dollars to follow-through on his Iowa win? I did not know that.
Exactly. The timing is not right for Cruz. The Establishment is about to get Trumped!
That’s what I’m hearing too. The leading conservative voices in the state are mostly lined up behind Cruz.
You can’t tell it to many people here.
I just hope Trump doesn’t change when he gets the nomination. I hope he doesn’t back off on the wall, immigration and off shoring. I hope he doubles down instead. Hop hop hope. We’ve been screwed over before.
Trump has donors.
Ya the thousands and thousands who are buying Make America Great Again hats. I liked them so much I bought two.
You do not need to spend money to be popular. Trump has spent less than all others and is still polling higher by double digits than others in most states.
“He is free to act in the interest of the country”

Trump acts in the interest of TRUMP and that’s it. He’ll make a deal with the devil (Hilary) if he thinks it’ll be to his advantage. Trump has no moral core so everyone that thinks he’d act any differently as President than he has his entire life is fooling themselves.
To my “conservative” friends who say that Donald Trump is not a conservative, what they do not understand is that Trump is an America FIRST nationalist, and his willingness to take the abuse of this presidential run proves he is also a Patriot. He doesn’t need this, you know. He could just go along to get along like all the rest of those Washington losers in BOTH parties, but he is not. He is also risking his life in this endeavor. No one wants Trump dead more than some of those running against him, namely Bush, Kasich, and Hillary most of all. NeoCons and Leftist Marxists share the same goal, World Government Controlled by Globalist Financiers.
God knows we have had ENOUGH of these One World HACKS. It’s time for someone who DOESN’T NEED THE JOB and DOESN’T NEED THEIR MONEY!

More opinionated drivel. LOL.
Who is YOUR candidate? The same could be said about him/her...as an opinion of anyone here.
You and I were screwed over before because we believed the pre-election hype form career politicians. After election, those career politicians immediately turned around to serve their rich donors, to protect their next re-election.
Trump has no rich donors. And he is not a career politician. He has been talking patriotism for decades. At age nearing 70, he is looking for a legacy, not re-election. A career politician in mid-40’s has no choice except to serve his rich donors. I am sure Trump will try his best to fulfill his promises.
So far, Trump is doing fine job of PROTECTING HIS INTERESTS. Let’s see, he lost $220 million/year earnings from TV show The Apprentice, Univision deal, NBC deal, Miss USA Pageant and the Miss Universe Pageant, Macy’s deal, Dubai deal, British open 2020 tournament at Turnberry, USGA tournaments at Trump golf course, and several other losses.
Do you see how un-informed your statement is?

My candidate is Cruz and he’s not known for making deals just to make a deal. Trump is.

LOLOL at your ‘deal’ post.
Like I said.....likewise - to your candidate and your ‘opinion’ about Trump.
I’ll take the ONLY candidate who is NOT owned by amnesty supporting donors/PACs, is NOT a career politician/government employee, and has employed thousands, around the world, and has personally guaranteed a payroll.
One Iowa Republican offered a quasi-apocalyptic prediction: The Beltway chattering class gets back from the holidays and the first week of January they are in meltdown panic mode with one question: What in the world are we going to do with Trump? Until now he’s been an illusion. He’s been off their radar. Why? Name one presidential candidate who has spent less time in D.C. Has he been there at all? And yet they went home and everywhere they went â their family, childhood friends, shopkeepers and restaurant servers â all of them brought up Trump. There were no other candidates discussed. And now, they come back to reality, talk to each other, and everyone heard the same thing at their respective hometowns, in all 50 states. The question is: What now? And nobody will have the answer.
