ATLANTA Michael Pemberton, a 65-year-old conservative from Kentucky, started the day in a good mood. He was attending his second RedState Gathering, and ready to hear from 10 of the Republican Party's presidential candidates. He dug into breakfast coffee and fruit and sat down with another conference-goer.
"One of the chaps across me asked, 'Did you hear the news?'" recalled Pemberton. "I thought he was going to tell me that a sinkhole opened up in Kentucky and I couldn't go again. But no: He said, they disinvited Donald Trump. I lost my appetite."
The TV news confirmed it. RedState's outgoing editor-in-chief, Erick Erickson, made an 11th hour call to disinvite Trump after the GOP presidential front-runner told CNN that Fox News's Megyn Kelly had "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever" when she grilled him during Thursday's presidential debate.
Pemberton grabbed a sharpie and a note card and scrawled out "I AM DONALD TRUMP." He affixed it to his jacket with an American flag pin and grudgingly walked into the conference, determined never to come again....

Those who favor other candidates are just using these nothing comments as an excuse to cheat Trump and his supporters out of their place at the table.
The hypocrisy of the new found tender ears of all the critics is stunning.
Megan Kelly’s question smacked of feminist influence. I think she was given these questions by feminist assistants. Typical “gotcha” questions. Why didn’t they ask Bill Clinton how he talked about women on occasion?
“Dis-inviting” someone is so juvenile.
Exactly, the party dolts are using all the same tactics now that we all supposedly detest from the left. The GOPe and it’s willing allies are just as big a problem, as are a lot of the losers allied with other candidates no matter where they are on the political spectrum.
Dis-inviting is right out of the liberal playbook. If liberals cant silence the opposition, then they pull out all the stops to destroy it.
Now, the Republicans are trying to do the same.
VIVA Trump!!!!
Well stated.
Check out how many people were expected during day. How many for just Trumps appearance. Who is going to get stuck with the bill? Not Trump.
And it worked so well with the Border Patrol agents being forced to dis-invite Trump to the border, for Macy's for dis-allowing the sale of Trump merchandise, and for NBC refusing to air the Miss United States pageant.
Has it ever been more clear how out-of-control the puppet masters are?
If nothing else, this should be an entertaining election cycle. Now, if the various vanity candidates would drop out and let the field get down to 4-5 serious candidates, maybe we can have an election.
Ooooh, they’re scared. Real scared of Trump.
Never clearer. You make an excellent and outstanding point. The pattern is strong with this one :)
Snub jobs. Somebody coin or TM that phrase.
Wonder where the wizards of smart think Trump’s supporters will go if the GOPe does manage to force him out.
People who imagine themselves as both conservatives and as disciples of Donald Trump need to do some re-examination.
She is a feminist. She is obsessed with it, she can’t hide it. There are plenty of clips on Youtube showing her bias.
I’m not “grappling” at all. I’m about to mix a martini. Well, actually a “Montgomery.”

Montgomery Martini
This cocktail is named after the famous WWII British general, Bernard Montgomery, who refused to attack the Germans unless he was assured victory by outnumbering his opponent at least 15 to 1. That same ratio is used for the gin and dry vermouth in this mixed drink.
I do not like much of what Trump says, but we suppress free speech to the demise of our First Amendment.
As I said on another thread a bit ago,
Im starting to think this is all a reverse psychology thing and they are all trying to get Trump elected by playing on our disgust of RINOs and the media.
Ahhh, Erickson is the Red State “out-going editor in chief”. That explains his career move with this phony controversy. Setting himself up as an Establishment media darling who fights for decency.
