Faded, former-media darling Katie Couric hosted Republican Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for a full-hour to discuss a wide range of issues Monday. The left-wing anchor, who is now perched at a place called Yahoo!, introduced Cruz as a historic candidate — potentially the first American president to be born in Canada. Later in the interview, she questioned Cruz on his citizenship.
The look on Couric’s smug face when he correctly reminded her that it was the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2008 that birthed the anti-Obama Birther movement, is priceless.

She is a snarky one. Cruz schooled her and all she could do was fold her arms and be the mouth breather she is. Well done TC - polished, prepared, ready with an answer!
She’s awful, the perfect Hillary minion.
Ted wipes the floor with her. She realizes she’s getting wiped out so she resorts to interrupting with left-wing talking points. But Ted whirls around her and leaves her looking empty. Then she looks down at her notes to try and recover and he leaves her dizzy again. So she tries to repeat the left-wing points even though he answers him.
For example, she tries to nail him on Climate Change. He adroitly lays out the history of the 1970s and the coming ‘ice age’ which the left had said must be solved by the left controlling more of the economy, more regulations, more control over people’s lives. He continues that when the ‘ice age’ failed to materialize, the left-wing narrative changed to ‘global warming’ and now ‘climate change’. He scored in getting out that the so-called 97% consensus was from one discredited study. She retorts but the study was from NASA. He replies NASA has been politicized. She tries snobbishly to push him in a corner with “so you think nothing should be done?”; he replies that the satellites have shown over 17 years ‘NO WARMING’. She asks again as if he is somehow evading “so you think there’s nothing to be concerned with and nothing should be done?”; he replies again “FOLLOW THE FACTS”. She acts as if he’s continuing to evade.
Now my understanding of the English language tells me that when Ted Cruz says “FOLLOW THE FACTS”. it means continue research, continue to monitor and ....given all else he said continue the science without politicizing it.
Why is it that Couric could not understand the policy implications of “FOLLOW THE FACTS” and don’t politicize it? The answer is simple: she has an agenda to bring up the left-wing perspective which is that Global Warming is real or some sort of man-made harmful perturbations to climate esist, that everyone of any repute agree that time is running out, ...
and here’s Ted Cruz saying the science is politicized, studies are discredited, and the target is to increase regulations, control more of our ecnonomy and lives ....
and Couric’s barely hidden position is “but we have to do something”. Yes, we continue to follow the facts and we get politics out of the science!
I only wish Ted had brought up the fact that ABC had predicted 8 years ago that we would all be underwater by now due to man-made global warming.
Couric is about the best that the left can throw up against Cruz because she really is nearly a Hillary little sister with all the body movements, vocal intonations, and talking points replete with left-wing snobbish inuendo.
I can see Hillary’s left-wing writers now preparing texts that “Ted Cruz disagrees with the 97% of scientists who form the scientific consensus on the danger of Climate Change, disagrees with NASA studies on Climate Change and believes nothing should be done at all on the subject. I believe that Hlllary will throw in “It’s clear why Senator Cruz thinks this, he’s backed by Big Oil”.
