Team Rand Attacks ‘Canadian’ Ted Cruz
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | May 29, 2015 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 05/29/2015 10:33:04 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)’s America’s Liberty Super PAC is out with a new ad attacking Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as a “Canadian” who supports President Obama on domestic surveillance extensions in the Patriot Act.

The extreme-style smackdown ad features Paul as the shirtless hero of a Sunday brawl in the Senate over the NSA and the right to privacy.

Featuring a picture of Cruz with Obama and the backdrop of a Canadian flag, the ad calls the Texas Senator a “capitulating Canadian” who is “backing Barack’s bill.”

Technically, the ad is not endorsed by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)'s campaign, but the Super PAC is endorsed by Paul and led by former campaign strategist Jesse Benton, who married into the Paul family and worked for not only Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)’s Senate campaign but also Ron Paul’s 2008 presidential campaign.

A spokesperson for Cruz’s campaign declined to comment on the ad, the latest hit on Cruz, who was once an ally of Rand Paul’s until they both began preparing for a 2016 run for president.

The friction between the two Senators has been growing, after Cruz criticized Paul on the campaign trail for voting against the USA Freedom Act — a bill that includes restrictions on the NSA’s ability to collect phone records in bulk, but failed to earn support from privacy advocates...

You’re right.
I’ve slacked off that project entirely too long.

Because they can usually get a non-citizen for $60K or less vs. an American if they play their cards right:

I'm in the IT Industry, and have been for 20+ years, doing everything from development/programming/engineering to positions all the way up to VP. I have NEVER seen this occur and Have worked for several Fortune 500 companies.

The thing I got out of the trade agreement legislation was it gave Congress more say and power of what goes on in the negotiations and a vote on trade agreements.

I don’t see nothing wrong with that.

Me neither.

The rest of this nonsense is simply assumptions and conjecture.

Logically, that argument can also be turned around to ask why relocation isn’t offered, qualifications loosened, and/or some other employer-side suggestion to handle the problem. People will only move if it is worth moving, and their concerns are no less valid for being a seeker of work.

Make a competitive enough offer and people will not be hard to find. It’s not something to do only for the rock stars, but for everyone.

“In fact Jeb trolled big time on Rand, so why is Rand going after Cruz? Seems like he is sucking for votes”

It makes perfect sense why Rand’s going after Cruz — because Cruz is cutting into the Libertarian base his father built. Many former Ron Paul supporters are backing Cruz this cycle because Cruz is also Libertarian on many issues and since he is truly hated by the Mitch McConnell-lead GOPe and Rand fully backed Mitch in his re-election bid, Cruz is seen as a more authentic “outsider” candidate.

An ad with the Canadian flag in the background smacks of desperation. Seems to me team Rand is really panicking about losing his dad’s base.

“Perhaps Rand is playing “Bernie Sanders” on our side?”

The difference to me is that Rand has 30-60% good ideas and coherent thoughts. Bernie has flat out 0% of either.

Not how the system works. Very few companies are going to come looking for you unless you possess some rare and/or valuable talent. Most individuals have to make their opportunities. That’s life.

Can’t believe you guys actual reply to these wingnuts. Ted Cruz nefariously supporting the Obama agenda; Cruz supporting illegal immigration; Ted Cruz acting unconstitutionally???? WTF??? Ignore them, they’ll go away. -:)

Rand Paul, Mr. Anti-DC, killed any chance he had when he endorsed McConnell- Paul’s dead in the water.

Ted Cruz is picking up the survivors.

No they will not.

I believe they are doing this so their comments get picked up by search-bots.

They have to be responded to and responded to with comments that directly include Ted Cruz's name.

Assumptions, connector, propaganda of those with a agenda.

Hope Jim Robinson can see through them..

This TPA or what ever it is called it not the trade agreements it’s self.

It’s legislation to rein in the out of control powers of a president that is out of control, it gives the appropriate authorities the Constitutional powers ( that would be Congress ) to conduct how, where, why a trade agreement is established, how it’s negotiated, it gives Congress the yea or nay say on what happens with a trade agreement in tandem with the president or a future president.

You are exactly correct.

Some people told me that Ted had to have been born in an American Hospital in a foreign country in order to be a citizen .. POPPYCOCK!!!

Probably 2/3 of our military families who have children overseas do not have a military hospital near enough in order to birth their children there.

The fact that Ted had both citizenships, and renounced his Canadian one .. is good enough for me .. his mother was a citizen of the USA in good standing. That is all that is required.

I think this is going to backfire on Rand Paul .. because it will be seen as sour grapes or just plain nonsense.

You're using the Los Angeles Times as a source? Good gravy Gertrude!

Oh- well, if that gravy isn't thick enough for you you, here's the same story about SCE's IT shop being replaced by H1B's on Breitbart:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/03/16/exclusive-union-official-says-corporate-greed-behind-push-for-h-1b-visas/

Personally, I like my gravy so thick that you can turn your biscuit upside down and it doesn't run back on the plate. For you guys to say that H1B abuse 'doesn't happen at all', seems a little runny to me given that virtually dozens of sources, all over the spectrum, are reporting on these abuses.

http://www.teaparty.org/zuckerberg-ally-h1-b-advocate-laid-americans-dont-work-hard-enough-99144/

You really ought to read that last one - you guys are putting yourselves in with some real fine company if you agree H1B's are so desperately needed...

Why freepers are not questioning Cruz’s stance on these Obama-backed issues, rather than calling out those who point out his stance, is beyond me.

Because LOVE IS BLIND?

If you follow my posts you will discover that I have posted mostly positive stuff about many candidates. That proves I am not a robot for any candidate, and that I look at life positively and inclusively. Glass is half full, not half empty. On the other hand I have observed the most negative posts are from supporters of senator Cruz denigrating other republican candidates. You rarely see that from Walker supporters, Rubio supporters, or any other candidate supporters.

I think Cruz supporters are doing a great harm to their candidate. It is delusional to think that more people will flock to their candidate if they denigrate others. It is the worst strategy if you want to succeed in business, or in a corporation. Friends are harder to make, enemies are easier to make. If Cruz supporters are so negative about others, is senator Cruz built from the same cloth? Denigrating and excluding others? I don't think so. From what I have seen, senator Cruz is always graceful to other republicans. Policy differences for sure. But you do not see him calling others kooks or other graceless epithets.
