Most people cringe at the sight of a pregnant woman smoking. Some people feel strongly enough to say something in protest. But one local man took matters into his own hands early Friday when, according to police, he shot an expectant mother who refused to put out her cigarette.

Probably because most people who are against the right to defend oneself are also those who wish to murder babies. Obviously a pregnent womean who smokes isn't placing the health of her baby foremost in her behavior.

Excuse me.......but my daughter is 29 years old with a baby if her own. She smokes, and I smoked when I got pregnant with her and nursed her as a smoker. She is fine, the baby is fine and "I" am fine.

So where is your proof that smoking during pregnancy is harmful to a baby? The WHO? hehe

There are a number of anamolous stories out there where somebody unrighteously attempts to murder somebody, the gun jams, and no murder occurs, only to have the gun function perfectly in any other circumstance (apparantly than aiming at the person). These cases aren't common, but there are a repetitve number of reports out there about such events. Most of them, went the opposite way, i.e. victim thought they were going to die, gun jams, they live. This is the first one I heard of the shooter aiming elsewhere in angst, gun jamming, accidently aims the misfire at the victim and it went off.

Have you ever been to a gun show or an NRA meeting? Go to one, and you'll encounter very decent, polite elements of Real America, not the rude, paranoid pansies of the algore-voting urban cesspools.

Tell ya what - why don't you make a pilgrimage to Knob Creek, Kentucky next weekend. There'll be hundreds of people walking around carrying and shooting firearms, including (GASP!) real assault rifles and even machine guns. And I'll guarandamntee you there won't be any of them go of the deep end and start shooting folks up.
