Now That Bush Has Sold Us Out... What are we going to do about it? (vanity)

Posted on 03/13/2002 2:47:41 PM PST by Michael2001

Well I'm mad and I'm angry, and maybe that's why I can't think of an appropriate response. While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, Bush passes this Amnesty Bill, something that not even the sneaky Bill Clinton would do. This is one of the worse Bills to pass through Congress, it will hurt us in many ways, and ten years from now we will still be feeling it's effects.

Bush has, without a doubt in my mind, sold us out for the Hispanic vote. He sold us out because he can take our vote for granted (who will we vote for Al Gore?). Is he wrong? What do we do when the Republicans stop looking out for our interests? Is it time for a new party, or do we work within the party and try to root out the Republicans In Name Only (of which there are many)?

What, do we want to start a refugee crisis in Mexico?

You're talking about Mexican citizens being refugees in their own country??? That isn't a poor country lacking resources, it's a wealthy but very corrupt country and it seems we're going to keep enabling that.

Can anyone say clinton????? Isn't that what you guys did to Bush Sr.???? Thanks alot! WE got 8 years of treason and liars in the white house. Think before you vote...don't be dumb!

So basically you're saying that no matter what Bush does you will still vote for him?- No wonder he takes our votes for granted.

My initial reaction is to vote for a third party candidate and hope if he gets enough votes, and it causes the Republicans to lose the presidency it will send them a message.

Why don't you quit your job that way unemployment will go up and Bush will look bad. (wink, wink, just kidding.)

Take some positive action. Write to the White House, the Senate, State and National Republican Committees. Also write letters to those members of congress who opposed Bush. My Rep a "moderate" voted against Bush. I am going to send him an e-mail thanking him. Give Money to Conservative Groups rather than the Party.

On a personal level, I'm very upset too. Bush has been acting shamefully lately. Steel Tariffs, Amnesty, perhaps signing CFR when he promised to veto it. Rush said that if it wasn't for the war, he'd wash his hands of the Bush administration. But I try to keep everything in perspective. Bush is doing and will do a lot of good before this term is up. And our country is better off with him in the White House, than the alternative.

Ssshhhhhh - I keep trying to tell you guys, this stuff is all done to fool the Democrats. Yeah, I know, there's a whole LOT of fooling going on, but Bush wants to fool 'em so bad they'll never know what hit 'em.

Let's Roll.

They're not "every one" illegal. Many are, however. And the presence of recently-arrived Latinos, legal or otherwise, carries a substantial cost for the nation. Most are decent people and some are productive and on balance assets, but given liberal entitlement programs in America, many are learning the "advantages" of becoming wards of the State, as outlined in the Democratic handbook for winning elections.

Irrelevant. What is relevant is that if you remove the cheap labor from the fields it will have a significant impact on the economy any you will not like that...

Go 3rd party! The Reform Party stands for the most conservative values today and needs more good conservatives to make it a viable option for voters.

The Reform Party reminds me of the bar scene in Star Wars. No offense but thats my impression, I have been wrong many times before.

In my opinion, something is very wrong with this picture.

Perhaps it's a color/hue issue with you.

My 'litmus test', when is come right down to election day and marking the ballot, is the '2nd Amendment'...

Will you settle for the small portion that's still left right now?

And can you get the other guy up to the podium.

(directions to the podium: GoTo D.C., take a right at "Funraising Square", Right at "Has he got a Past Court", Right at "Media Circus" Lane and finally, another Right at the infamous "RINO tunnel of DOOM" inside which no light can be seen for miles. Once out of the tunnel and if you still have a candidate, you're there.)

Good Luck,
EBUCK

"...While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, ..."

Not all of us.

As for what we will do...well... I am going to have a good meal tonight, watch a little tv, and go to bed. This is a surprise for many people, but not for those who have been thinking that something was drastically wrong in the US. This is nothing new to many of us.

I don't but I'd definately love to see him prove me wrong. I do know this though, It'll fly thru the senate and definately end up on his desk where he has said he will sign it.

He hasn't said he will sign IT. He said he would sign *A* bill, and used some pretty heavy qualifiers. It doesn't sound like the pending bill is what he means.

How about a 1st amm. test. He's getting ready to fail that one with CFR.

The 'ultimate' defender of Constitution IS the Second Amendment...

What kind of message does this send all the millions of people who are trying to come here legally and have thus far been unsuccessful? It shows them that they've been going about this all wrong, instead of filing all the paper work and trying to come here legally, they should have just found a way to sneak in illegally and eventually we'll give them citizenship. We are rewarding people who broke the law. Why should these people try to come here legally now, everyone should just sneak in and break our laws, apparently that is the easiest way to become a citizen.

You are needed over here. Ping!

I'm so flabbergasted at losing by one vote.

Did anyone hear Trancredo say on FNC tonight, that IF</B? the INS announcement about the Visas to the two dead Florida Flight School terrorists had come out yesterday, that bill would NEVER have passed?!

Also, Dick Morris, on FNC last night, said that Republicans need to pick one issue for 2004 and pound on it, over and over.

His thoughts were that "immigration" as in, cutting back on, was THE issue Republicans should focus on. I say, let's tell every Republican candidate, make Reponsible Immigration your agenda, and you have my vote.

"I am going to trust Dubya on this one."

Yes, we know that many people are perfectly happy with illegal immigrants overruning the country.
