Prayers needed for my boss who has cancer
Posted on 02/28/2002 4:42:43 PM PST by Betteboop
I'm calling on my fellow freepers again to pray. My boss was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and has had one round of chemotherapy two weeks ago, for four days. Since then he has not been doing well. He has been feeling lousy, has the hiccups (from the meds, I understand) and today he came to work, even though he was having trouble breathing. The chemo should have been through his system by now so there is something wrong. He is only 47 years old and has a 7 year old son. He is too young to have this disease...I understand it is generally found in much older men.
He is a good guy and new in this job (just started in Sept) and has so many plans and ideas and a passion for it.

What helped the most for you?
Prayer on the way.

Multiple Myeloma is an end-stage condition resulting from a previously undiagnosed tumor or lesion by the time symptoms appear; the prognosis is extremely poor - only prayer will help.

Absolutely, BB. I pray that The Great Healer will look kindly on this fine man and help him to fight this terrible cancer. The fact that he even tried to get to his job shows what a good persom he is.
I believe you told me his name once before. Would you mind telling me once more, so that I can refer to him specifically when I lift up my thoughts.

You said it pal! We all pray for a fellow human being whether we know him or not; whether saint or sinner.
Moved by the request from this man's fellow-worker I join in praying for him as well!

I am praying for your boss Bette.

It certainly is impressive (and, I think, rare) for someone to be praying for his boss's recovery. Me, I'd pray the cancer leaves your boss and goes to my boss.
