Yes. Apostolic Sucession and Papal Authority. Ah. The other day I made a prototype of a perpetual-motion machine. It disproves the law of gravity.
186,000 miles per second. It's not just a good idea. It's the law.

Pope Ron Popeil I should be showing up soon. I guess the "Mother of all Harlots" has its daughters as well. :-)
Here I accorded Dr. Steve a grandiose entrance and you have gone and ruined it. Shame on you! ;-)) (double smile)

"Ahem - that's Pope Peil I, pocket-fisher of men. He's already granted me a Cardinalship, based upon his adoption of my suggestion for a new baptismal mode (spray-on)."
Yes, and what of the multitude of indulgences granted for those attaining a holey-in-one on the proposed papal par 3 course?

Speaking of cans of worms, if you add to the above the statement by Meister Eckhardt, "We are all meant to be mothers of God. For God is always needing to be born.", all sorts of interesting conundrums are there for consideration. That's a mighty big can o' worms you're opening there. You're talking about Meister Eckhardt, the 13th century Dominican monk/mystic? The guy who also said "People say of the last day, that God shall give judgment. This is true. But it is not true as people imagine. Every man pronounces his own sentence; as he shows himself here in his essence, so will he remain everlastingly"?

God has no before or after
God is neither this nor that
God is perfect simplicity
Prior to creatures, in the eternal now, I have played before the father in his eternal stillness.
Definitely had a way with words.

Yes, and what of the multitude of indulgences granted for those attaining a holey-in-one on the proposed papal par 3 course? Golf - played Catholic or Protestant - is a sport that eludes me. I will, however, be proposing a large, impeccably polished sheet of lexan be mounted vertically and diagonally along the 17th hole fairway (just between the revolving windmill and the giant paper-mache Flow-Bee obstacles), so as to invisibly ricochet golf balls deep into the carefully-placed water trap. Golfers are then given the option of paying the requisite indulgence fees, or they may consider a direct retrieval of their ball. If they choose the latter, we will count it as baptism.

I think you asked a good question, and I'm disappointed but not surprised that 40 posts later all these windy posters so anxious to show off their "inside baseball" knowledge were unable to give you an answer.

I will be offline tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday. Am in New Orleans with the wife at a Nurse Practitioner Convention in the French Quarter..
Real hardship.
I won't have much net access.
Later,

That's it....not much of a response. Doesn't say anything new, nothing that hasn't been said here 100 times already. Yawn.

You're really, really gald. :)
Oh, yes, I really am. ;)
I guess Ican't blame that one on long nails.

What faith or church do you belong to?

Rene Bistro, Steve. Best new place in New Orleans, and not terribly expensive.

This is about a particular verse of Scripture. Don't get off track. Can you answer his argument or not?
