This is the confidence we have in approaching God: That if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

Dear Holy Abba Father, upon this eve of Election Day, Your Free Republic intercessors come together in Your majestic presence to stand in the gap for America, the nations, and especially Your beloved nation of Israel; for our families, loved ones and friends. Thank You for Your divine protection against all enemies and the spiritual armor You have provided us.

Holy Father God, we confess we've become lazy and passive under the numerous blessings that You've showered upon us Americans. While we sleep, the enemy has robbed us blind.

Once again another Election Day is here, as You know, and again too many Christians have given little thought to voting. The excuses and rationalizations are many and lame. You know them all. The worst are those who neglect their duties in Your Name. We call out to all to fulfil our duties and responsibilities You've entrusted to us.

We confess we've squandered Your blessings upon this nation. Instead of standing firm upon Your Ground in defense of a righteous America, we've let evil slip in bit by bit over the decades. Now look at the corruption and lawlessness permeating almost everything! There is no one to blame but ourselves in our own carelessness. We've taken our focus off of You, where it always belongs.

Tonight we proclaim America for You, Father God--even while broken, divided and insulting to You. You will judge this nation rightly and as You see fit. Have mercy upon the innocents and Your children during this time of judgment. We call upon Your Holy Spirit to prepare the hearts of the lost who will find Salvation through our Savior.

Prepare Your people to work the harvest during this period in time. We give thanks for Your provision, guidance, spiritual armor and protection as we evangelize in the Name of Jesus Christ. Prepare us for the hard times ahead. We thank You for the hope and grace You provide. May many turn from their wicked ways in repentance.

We are ready in Christ, Father God. Guide the citizens to complete their civic duty to vote for godly candidates. Guide our leaders with holy wisdom to do what's right in Your eyes and pleasing to You. At this late hour, only You can heal the hearts and minds of the American people willing to hear Your Truth.

We see that this current state of division and strife cannot go on much longer, and things will unravel quickly once we reach that rapidly approaching flashpoint. We don't know when that will be, but You do. And even then, we thank You for always being with us, Abba Father, for we can always trust in You, no matter what happens.

We confess and repent of our national sins of pride, selfishness, deceit, rebellion, depravity, witchcraft, blasphemy, scoffing and mockery of You, the one True Holy God. We tear down all idolatries we foolishly attempt to place above You. Oh Elohim Adonai, rebuke the evil spirits that oppress the people in bondage, who attempt to fill our minds with delusion and hearts with murder and hatred. Bind the operations of these wicked spirits from Your royal position of Victory! We confess our sins and cry out to our Savior and King, Lord Jesus Christ! Oh save us Lord Jesus as only You can do! Fill us with Your Holy Spirit to comfort, strengthen, grow and wisely guide us. Amen.

Father God, keep us full of Your godly courage so we may stand strong on the TRUTH and Righteousness of our Savior Jesus Christ, as we work the harvest in a world passing away. Thank You for walking with us as we carry out Your mission in our daily lives: At home, at work, on the street, online and even here (and especially) at Free Republic--at every opportunity You send our way may we pray and tell Your Good News.

Oh gracious Holy Father, we give all thanks, praise and glory to You! Your mercies are new every morning and for that we are eternally grateful. How wonderful You are that we can have complete trust and faith in You. We long for the day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that our King JESUS CHRIST is LORD! MARANATHA! Three cheers forever for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit! In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
