II. Miraculous Union of Human and Divine Laying aside His royal robe and kingly crown, Christ clothed His divinity with humanity, that human beings might be raised from their degradation and placed on vantage-ground. Christ could not have come to this earth with the glory that He had in the heavenly courts. Sinful human beings could not have borne the sight. He veiled His divinity with the garb of humanity, but He did not part with His divinity. A divine-human Saviour, He came to stand at the head of the fallen race, to share in their experience from childhood to manhood. That human beings might be partakers of the divine nature, He came to this earth, and lived a life of perfect obedience.—The Review and Herald, June 15, 1905.

Deity of course..typo.
Ellen in title.....not Elle....Ellen.
What a beautiful statement on the Divinity of Christ by Ellen White...fully God, fully human. The Deity of the Savior:
Quote:
In Christ, divinity and humanity were combined. Divinity was not degraded to humanity; divinity held its place, but humanity by being united to divinity, withstood the fiercest test of temptation in the wilderness. The prince of this world came to Christ after His long fast, when He was an hungered, and suggested to Him to command the stones to become bread. But the plan of God, devised for the salvation of man, provided that Christ should know hunger, and poverty, and every phase of man’s experience.—The Review and Herald, February 18, 1890.
Well he did feed people a lot of fish..............
like you ?
I’m still not going to church on Saturday.
But I know a lot of Catholics who do go to church on Saturday.
>>>I’m still not going to church on Saturday.>>>
Heck, I gave up on anyone going to church on the Sabbath and keeping the whole day as the a holy day.
I’d be happy to find anyone who even keeps Sunday as a whole day instead of church then off to the races. I’m pretty sure that’s what you do.......it’s the Lord’s hour right? Forget the Lord’s day....I gave up on that a long time ago.
At least protestants of old used to keep the whole day.....not you’d be lucky to find one that keeps more than an hour.

Good for you. Who does God think He is anyway to command us to keep the Sabbath holy? It's not like He created the universe or gave us and our forefathers life or anything. And just because Jesus kept the Sabbath holy, should we have to follow His example?

bump to watch Round 2
Leviticus merely says the sabbath is one day out of seven. It says nothing about it being on Saturday.
Ya, I thought I saw a more recent one maybe it’s just the date of the source.
Ellen White has been lied about, slandered, taken out of context, attacked, demonized and vilified as much as well...Donald Trump.
The truth is, she was a humble Protestant woman who published books and articles read by millions of people. She directed people to Jesus, the cross and the Bible.
Her book “Desire of Ages” has been read by more people than any other book outside the Bible about the life and death of Jesus Christ, the greatest autobiography of Christ, outside the Bible ever written.
She wrote about Luther, Wesley, Tyndale, all of the Protestant Reformers and how God used them to restore truth from 1260 years of Papal darkness. She wrote that the Papacy was the seat of the counterfeit religious power, as so many Protestant Reformers did.
She never claimed to be a prophet and said if people would read their Bibles, they wouldn’t have to read anything else, the Holy Spirit would guide them into all truth.
But she wrote the truth about the papacy, the Sabbath, Sunday, end times, and so she is attacked by both Catholics and protestants both , slandered and lied about because of her Bible commentary on the law of God, the holy Sabbath, mostly.
And she wrote just what the Bible says about Christ and his Divinity and Deity. He was both, fully God and fully man. He came here to save a lost planet and he has always existed....he is not was not ever a created being.
He is in fact the physical manifestation of God himself......he is God incarnate. And has always been. Before Abraham was.....I AM. He is the great I AM.
The seventh day of the week is mentioned. Everyone knew what was meant. Don't be obtuse. Jesus kept the Sabbath. He didn't question it. You're just looking for a loophole to avoid doing what God has commanded.
Jesus didn’t keep the Sabbath.
Jesus was healing people on the Sabbath. The Sabbath is for a Jewish people. The Sabbath nowhere in the Bible was mentioned for Gentiles.
>>>Jesus didn’t keep the Sabbath.>>>
Hey, that’s exactly what the pharisees accused him of. Breaking the Sabbath. You are in interesting company. The Pharisees.
Good luck.
