We have seen where the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) will be in 30 years, and it’s in the form of herchurch, a heretical church in San Francisco within the Sierra Pacific Synod, the most progressive entity of the ELCA.
Founded initially as Ebenezer Lutheran Church by Swedish immigrants in 1884, the church served the community for many years until Rev. Stacy Boorn took over. Ordained in 1987, Boorn describes herself as a “Pastor & Priestess of Ritual” and claims that her “malestream theological education opened the door for her to build a Goddess-inclusive congregation and ministry.”
Inhabited by several legions of demons, she’s remade the church into her image, painting it purple in 2010 and giving it its new moniker to “honor the Goddess and Divine Feminine,” be in “solidarity with women and all persons who are oppressed and denied equal rights,” and to “advocate for marriage rights for all people.”
Here, Boorn introduced explicitly pagan ideas into the lifeblood of the church, all the while denominational leadership looked on approvingly. She was later joined by Megan Rohrer, the first openly transgender minister and bishop ordained in the Lutheran tradition, and together they devoured any souls they could find. This includes participating in traditional liturgies like communion and singing, while placing little idols and carvings of gods throughout the church.
Other leaders include Priestess Alice Heimsoth, the “Documentarian Priestess for herchurch, artistically chronicling the community and its member’s connection to the Divine Feminine,” and Priestexx Thom Longino, the “adjunct pastor, spiritual director, Goddexx enthusiast, avid crocheter, Br Lilith of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans, and occasional Night Minister,”
And finally, there is Priestess Christine Konkol. According to her bio:
As Priestess Witch for herchurch, Christine offers magical gifts to share and enhance the support and development of herchurch. The monthly astrological reading provides guidance from the stars and is a favorite among many. Together we honor the natural cycles of the year, the Solstices and Equinoxes, and thank the Earth for her bounty.
Not content to simply follow traditional church practices, Boorn recently created a new ritual called the “Goddess Rosary,” where supplicants use beads to utter and track prayers that “are liberating and empowering” such as “Our Mother Who is Within Us,” by Mariam Teresa Winters, a Roman Catholic Feminist, and “Hail Goddess Full of Grace,” by Carol Christ, a Goddess Feminist.)
They describe the ritual this way:
During the hour, Tibetan bowls, bells, incense, water, she-icons, Goddess Rosaries, candles, stones, and sacred space are provided for individual meditation and movement. Minister of Embodiment Judith Lavender Dancer teaches movement for the Our Mother and Hail Goddess prayers. She also brings sacred dance and the body into the Sunday liturgy.
This is the final form of the ELCA: It’s only a matter of time.

So... no longer Lutheran?
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
This won’t end well.
“So... no longer Lutheran?”
Who has the Lutheran Ping? I want some Lutherans or even ex ones to come in and answer that question!
This sound smore like a Unitarian church than any Lutheran church I ever visited.
Astrology, really? Also known as Flat Earth astronomy. Only the most foolish of fools believe astrology.
Marin Luther would have hammer in hand
Not only no but hell no not a Lutheran church in any form.
No longer Christian.........................
It reminds me of what Ezekiel saw when he was told to dig through the side of the Temple and report what he saw there.
Then the order went out to mark everyone crying for Jerusalem, and then the slayer went through and killed those without the mark, starting at the Temple.
Mushrooms for communion
ELCA is not Lutheran.
I’m baptized, educated, and confirmed as Lutheran.
Progressive stuff is bullshit!
I have no churches close to me that match my beliefs,
Hawaii big island is kind of remote.
I stream a Presbyterian service and attend their bible studies.
But I will not support a church that glorifies and accepts faggots and women priests in violation of biblical teaching.
Weeping for Tammuz
Is not for kosher Jews.
Praying to the poltergeist
Is not for followers of Christ.
Apostasy: It’s Not Just For Breakfast!™️

San Fransisco.
Figures.
I do NOT miss the Bay Area!
And then there is this-
I was waiting for statement which tells us this is a big joke, but that line never came.
I have my own beliefs and I think all Christians believe in something slightly different if you really get into the nuance. I also believe that a divided community makes us weak and allows the enemy of Christ to win. I try to remain an ally and accept the broadest definition of Christian and realize that I may not have it all right either, “but lets work together” on the bigger issues.
That said, even I who tries to throw the biggest possible tent and include all Christians have a hard time stomaching this crap.
This isn’t Christian. It’s as simple as that.
In fact, if Luther (E Lutheran CA) were alive today, he would literally whip and push these heretics from the pulpit. Realize, he was a Catholic priest and very conservative. His goal was never a split from the church, rather to reform it because of the 95 thesis he saw wrong. These people are cult members, their leader a heretic, and the ELCA should change its name, removing Luther from it.
They are allowed to do whatever they want, but when you use names like Christian and Luther as defining terms, but rebuke everything these teach and stand for, when you adopt some entirely new philosophy and doctrine but still want to use some symbols from some other group which you are not part of, that is akin to what liberals like to define as “cultural appropriation.” That cross, Bible, terms like Christian and Luther don’t belong to them anymore. They are something entirely new and different.
...Who are now probably rolling over in their graves.
That is why I left the Catholic Church. As an altar boy in the mid 80’s, I remember holding a statue of Mary while everyone lined up to kiss the statue’s feet. If that is not idolatry I do not know what is…
