And then there is this-
I was waiting for statement which tells us this is a big joke, but that line never came.
I have my own beliefs and I think all Christians believe in something slightly different if you really get into the nuance. I also believe that a divided community makes us weak and allows the enemy of Christ to win. I try to remain an ally and accept the broadest definition of Christian and realize that I may not have it all right either, “but lets work together” on the bigger issues.
That said, even I who tries to throw the biggest possible tent and include all Christians have a hard time stomaching this crap.
This isn’t Christian. It’s as simple as that.
In fact, if Luther (E Lutheran CA) were alive today, he would literally whip and push these heretics from the pulpit. Realize, he was a Catholic priest and very conservative. His goal was never a split from the church, rather to reform it because of the 95 thesis he saw wrong. These people are cult members, their leader a heretic, and the ELCA should change its name, removing Luther from it.
They are allowed to do whatever they want, but when you use names like Christian and Luther as defining terms, but rebuke everything these teach and stand for, when you adopt some entirely new philosophy and doctrine but still want to use some symbols from some other group which you are not part of, that is akin to what liberals like to define as “cultural appropriation.” That cross, Bible, terms like Christian and Luther don’t belong to them anymore. They are something entirely new and different.
It’s not Christian. It’s obviously, as described, pagan. Tarot reading and astrology and worshipping the leader? It’s practically if not exactly a cult. I’m surprised if herchurch has many members. (That’s a double entendre).
As an educated guy( by christian universities)
the different Religions are all due to men not being Christian.
They are are like the Jewish priests that
abused their authority.
They pick and chose the parts that meet their
personal prejudices.
Baptists don’t allow drink.
Catholics think the Pope is selected by God( sort of)
I could go on.
Christianity is all about your personal
relationship with God and Christ.
If you chose to let some church interfere with that,
that is your choice.
