"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

Having requested a prayer from Your Holy Spirit to be posted this Independence Day, July 4th, for Wednesday, the 5th day of July, 2023, it was given by a brother in Christ that a prayer and commentary on the American Pledge of Allegiance would be an appropriate subject or beginning of such prayer today.
" . . .Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; . . " . . . ( Ephesians 6:18)
Here is the Pledge of Allegiance, as originally produced by Francis Bellamy, Baptist minister's son, in 1892 as part of a program for schoolchildren:
"I pledge allegiance to my flag and the Republic for which it stands—one Nation indivisible—with liberty and justice for all."
"(Bellamy later added the "to" before "the Republic" for better cadence.)"
Lord God, this pledge has then since been added to, tinkered with, and argued about up to the Supreme Court, to this day.
And while the "separation of church and state" theory rests only upon a letter written from one politician to another, and the Roman Catholic Knights of Columbus pushed to add "under God" to it, and Jehovah's Witnesses and atheists claim it infringes upon their rights, and Communists and Democrats and news media propagandists and shills try to tell us that the Republic of the United States is a democracy and not a republic, this pledge is still here. I thank You for it. Hope it is acceptable to You, as You have blessed this country as no other of which I am aware.
It is precious to patriotic citizens of this country and also to legal immigrants who become citizens and those who haven't made citizen yet, but are still trying.

Thank You for this. Thank You for the freedoms we have had and enjoyed, and for the ones we still have, even though many are now illusory.
We know that the only way this nation will survive will be by harvesting Believers by prayer and evangelism, and lawkeeping and stopping the Globalists and the Illuminati by prayer and intercession. Help us to learn and practice every day such warfare by prayer.

Lord, help we Americans - by legal right, and those who are so only yet in heart and mind - to keep this pledge. Help us to strive to do Your work of evangelisation of those 5th Columnists and invaders crossing our borders, those who see no other way to be Americans, and those who come to loot, to steal, to destroy America, through envy and those under the direct influence of Satan, of the Sons of Belial, who desire nothing more than to snuff out the Light they hate. We ask that many of these may be pulled from the fire through witnessing as they attempt and many cases succeed in robbing, raping, killing many of us, and also in perishing in the ongoing and coming conflict, as they will spring themselves upon us when their numbers become large enough.
We are being displaced in our farmland, our cities, our rentals, our homes, even in our hospital beds. And this is being done by and with our elected officials, in complete lawlessness, treacherously, treasonously, traitorously.
They do this to make all of us slaves or corpses. And they don't much care which. So give us a heart to pray for them, that they may be saved.
Help us to both stave off the preceding predictions and be ready for the attacks, as they become more numerous daily, and be ready for the "knock on the door".
Help us to love these unloveables as You loved and died for us. Help us to witness to them of Your salvation and Gospel. Have myself no natural desire for martyrdom, but make and keep us ready to lose our lives for Your sake and work, please. Grant us peace in this.
We pray for our country, Heavenly Father. It looks impossible, and we are under judgement now, so we ask mercy, and request pushing back the judgement. Nothing is too hard for You.

Dear Lord, we beseech Thee to purge the monstrous Satanic evil that has seized control of our institutions and government ! Bring these evil individuals to justice ! Strike down these wicked individuals and institutions that blatantly and audaciously lie to the public about their true (evil) intentions while painting good people as the real enemy !
Do not let these servants of darkness prevail over Your children ! Send forth Your angels to liberate us, oh, Lord ! Hear our cries and help us, please, dear Lord !

Lord, as we see the direction things are going, let us not fret or be angry, but Lord, help us to be obedient. Help us to pray for those who seek to destroy us.

Amen! Thank you for this wonderful post. The family visited Francis Bellamy’s grave just last week and this gives important context.
For America As A Nation Who Has Lost Its Way
Loving Lord, I come to You to place the once great nation of United States of America at Your feet, knowing that our great country and it’s constitution was made for a moral and religious people and is wholly inadequate for any other form of government, and yet we have strayed so far from the principles and practices of our great founders, who drew up our constitution based on Your Word.
But Lord, although this was once the land of the brave and the home of the free, sadly there is so much that is wrong with our country that I fear for its future. Lord, as a people we have walked away from You and discredited Your holy name by the way that we have conducted ourselves over the past few years and there is no health in our land.
Look down in pity on our people and our land, and protect us from those that seem determined on destroying our nation. Send Your Spirit I pray, through the land of America, and touch the hearts of all those that are called by Your name to plead on behalf our people. Convict those that are damaging our infrastructure and as a nation may we turn away from our wicked ways and return You to Your rightful position, in integrity and truth.
I ask this in Jesus’ name,
