While most Israelis were celebrating Independence Day by having family barbecues, a small group gathered in the Old City of Jerusalem and began chipping away at stones, preparing them to be used to build the prophesied Third Temple.
The event was organized by Rabbi Aryeh Lipo who envisioned it while on his way to the funeral of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky in March. Lipo ascends to the Temple Mount on a daily basis (when the Israeli police permit Jews to enter) but was deliberating with a friend which was more important: to attend the funeral of a tzaddik (righteous Jew) or to ascend to the Temple Mount.
To honor Rabbi Kanievsky, he and a friend were learning a halachic (Torah law) ruling written by Rabbi Kanievsky in which he stated that the stones for the Temple had to be cut by Jews with the intention of honoring God’s name.
“We have a mitzvah (Torah commandment) to build the Temple. This mitzvah is not conditional or time-bound. We have this requirement at all times. So it is a pity that we are not actively engaged in it. Right now, it is politically complicated for us to begin building on the Temple Mount but that does not exempt us from this mitzvah.”

End Times Ping
This one is old, and I missed it - but passing it along to show that we are indeed nearing “The End”.
Please FReemail me if you wish to be added to or removed from The End Times Ping List.
Maranatha!
Here comes the end of the world
Good for them.
The sooner the better...
They have not begun building. The title is nonsense.
“Right now, it is politically complicated for us to begin building on the Temple Mount”
.
bkmk
I guess it depends on what you call “building”.
They are quarrying stones in the proper manner for use.
A grand total of 23, I think it said. Don’t look properly formed to me, but I’m no archeologist/archetect.
When the Israeli government kicks out the Waqf off of Har HaBayit and razes Al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Crock, then I’ll believe that the actual building process is going to happen shortly thereafter.
Not really a sign of anything just yet.
Israel will NOT begin building the temple until their MESSIAH gives them permission to. (hint: their messiah = antichrist)
Therefore, we (Christians) won’t see it built... we will be long gone.
The antichrist will be revealed right after the rapture of the church (shot in head and recover) and must rise to global power before acknowledging the peace agreement with Israel... which is what begins the 7 year tribulation.
The temple itself can be built within a 60-90 day period.
It’s more likely we will see the destruction of Damascus (overnight) first... which triggers major escalation of the world war we are already in.
We are so much closer than so many realize.
Well, the first thing Jews need to do is recognize that the Temple Mount is not where the Temple really was. The wailing wall is really Fort Antonia, the Roman Fort.
Matthew 24:1-2 says, ”Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, ‘Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
Jesus is not a liar. There are still stones standing now so it is not the Temple. Solomon’s Temple and the Second were built in the Old City of Jerusalem. Only Jewish tradition keeps this alive. Like most traditions, I believe them to be wrong. Evidence will come in God’s timing.
Think i’m crazy , it’s all here. He makes a strong case and more evidence backed by scripture.

They have also prepared the various implements required in operation of the temple as well as have reformed the Sanhedrin, who currently meet in underground spaces at the base of the western wall.
Which brings up another interesting question - was the Temple really on “Temple Mount”? Based upon scriptures and other ancient writings a compelling case can be made it was actually in the City of David, downhill from the mount. In which case they can begin building the third temple tomorrow.
Bingo! The folks in that world will have egg on their faces when they realize their mistake.
Here’s a relatively lengthy treatment of ‘the Temple Mount Qquestion’.
Even without the Dome, there are very serious, seemingly insoluble questions of Jewish law, as well as the problem of a civil war waged by secular Israelis and Jews against such a religious revival.
The other compelling points supporting that theory are Josephus’ writings, the size of the complex required to support a legion of Roman troops as well as repeated references to ‘Living Water’ in association with the location of the Temple.
It is a highly charged topic.
How sad, Jews still living under the law. BUT, as for the Temple, LETS GET HER BUILT!
I have heard that all the materials described in the Old Testament to build the third temple have been gathered and the temple only needs to be constructed.
