While Pope Francis has traveled 10 times to Latin America since his election, “he is clearly not leading a crusade to reclaim the region for Catholicism,” WSJ reported.

At his core, Francis could not care less about the religious preferences of Latin Americans or anyone else. Let’s just say he is no St. Paul.

If Francis sees his mission as destroying the Catholic Church, he’s doing a pretty good job.

This Pope gets his theology from Marx and the Huffington Post.

Its difficult to find a serious ideological difference between him and most leftist politicians.

He is truly a disaster.

Frankie is the Marxist “democrats’” Merrick Garland of the Catholic Church. The far left ‘media’ got the boy his Vatican job.

This papacy has been little short of catastrophic. May Christ save His Church!

The Pope is doing the Great Purge. Losing most of his faithful.

He is trying to rewrite history and in the end, he will fail.

God is in control!

I miss Pope John Paul II and Mother Theresa.

At one time or another most Latin Americans have lived with autocratic governments and they can see through Bergoglio a mile away. What he is doing to the Catholic Church is criminal.

I’m no expert, but isn’t the Pope selected by his peers? Thats not encouraging when looking at the Catholic Church and Francis.

He has lost many Catholics to the Church, thanks to his embracing of marxism.

One recalls that the Soviet state tried to expunge the Orthodox Church in favor of state atheism. With the fall of the USSR the Orthodox were found to be a very large, once quiet population under subjugation, and then free to be open about their religion and culture.

I think this will be the same tale write large, when the Francis revolution has run its course.

One adds to the metaphor the remembrance of many Ponzi schemes which sounded great and solid until they weren't. The same with such as Jones' Peoples’ Temple of Kool-Aid fame. Francis can only perturb, and in doing so he thinks he is making progress. As did the Soviets. Take heart.

Kinda, but for historical reasons the College of Cardinals is top heavy with continental Europeans, especially Italians. Bergoglio himself is of of Italian ancestry even if he was born and raised in Argentina.

The closing that got cut off is good.

“Far too many in our Church haven’t been opting for the poor, preferring instead the pet social causes of wealthy Western elites. Pentecostals may lack substance, but at least they’re talking to the poor about Jesus and not climate change. https://t.co/rcb50tAvvi

That’s the thing: he talks as if he doesn’t regard conservatives, let alone evangelicals, as Christians at all, but he also doesn’t seem concerned that tens of millions of Catholics are going evangelical.

My attitude is that a religious evangelical is better than someone who is Catholic merely culturally, so I’m much more concerned about the missed opportunity to reclaim European Christendom. But Francis’ equation that Christianity means communism/statism/socialism is losing Christians in every direction: socialist-leaning Catholics (there are some) are being taugh that their socialism is more important than Catholicism, conservative Catholics are being told Pope Francis doesn’t want them, and marginally Christian Catholics are looking elsewhere to find Christ.

If Satan himself ran the Catholic church, he’d do it exactly the way Pope Francis does. I am quite confident that one day, he will be declared an antipope.

That’s what happens when you elect satan’s spawn.

Why are South Americans leaving the RC church in spite of all the culo-kissing?

Two reasons:

1. Clearly, Jorge doesn’t seem to care about loss of card-carrying church membership. That’s because he truly doesn’t care. His mission is to push buttons for the Great Reset, which is behind schedule since Hilldog lost in 2016. Now we have a Catholic president in the USA and the pandemic is ongoing, so things are back on track!
2. He and his globalist masters take South American Leftists at their word (or don’t care) when they say they’re catholic and it’s clear they’re not. This is what a lot of Americans in general do: Assume that any hispanic is Catholic. Big mistake, as we will soon see.

But in either case, no one in the RC hierarchy cares anymore. They know the LatinX globalist masters aren’t religious; they’re not even christians - they is communists! (That means they is atheists!)

Pope Frank is to Catholicism what Kapos are to Judaism.

Exactly. If people are of a religious bent, they’ll gravitate to the denomination they find most meaningful. Many Central and South Americans have left Catholicism for various Protestant sects — like the former addict and prostitute in this piece who happily joined a welcoming Pentecostal church. For the same reason, violent Mexican drug cartel members practice weird sorts of voodoo and santeria. It “speaks to them.”
