Francis claimed that everyone will be saved during his September 15 in-flight press conference thus qualifying Christ's death as superfluous.
The blasphemy went unnoticed until NovusOrdoWatch.org (January 3) paid attention to it. While taking about the vice of homosexuality, Francis said,
“Respect everyone. The Lord is good and will save everyone — do not say this aloud [laughs] — but the Lord wants to save everyone. Please do not make the Church deny her truth. Many, many people of homosexual orientation approach the Sacrament of Penance, they approach to ask priests for advice, the Church helps them to move forward in their lives.”
Reality is different:
• The Novus Ordo sacrament of penance has virtually died out;
• Countless homosexuals boast of their problem, refuse pity, and demand that the whole society be transformed according to their wishes.
The Bible says that homosexual acts cry out to heaven for vengeance. Christ speaks with graphic details about hell warning that “none may cross from there to us.” At the Last Judgement, mankind will be separated into two groups, one rising to eternal life, the other banished to “outer darkness,” “unquenchable fire,” “eternal torment,” where "the worm does not die," people will "gnash their teeth in anguish and regret" and from which there is no return.
Great news for Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot...
And I was taught that God was very serious indeed when He declared the 6th Commandment.
I wasn't there, but according to the post he said BOTH of those statements. One is true, the other most assuredly is NOT true.
All lefties do. The Bible means what they want it to mean.
If the Lord wanted to save everyone then everyone would be saved.
(and the soon coming anti-Christ many worthless souls will be saved . Such as myself and the lowly Apostle Paul .)
Yes indeed. Tribulation Saints MUST refuse the Mark of the Beast.
I post the following praying 🙏🛐✝️ it gets copied, repeated, texted, printed, somehow out to every corner of the Earth 🌎🌍.

Revelation 14:9-12
King James Version
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

“the Lord is good and will save everyone.” — From the article. Do you have a different translation?
Good catch. Reminds of the huge difference in meaning in the two following sentences which are the same except for the last word:
John lives by the river.
John lives by the Bible.
I have a devout Catholic friend who, when asked about Pope Francis and what he says, told me:
"You have to read very carefully. Pope Francis was educated by Jesuits. They are trained to never say anything unambiguously."
He said Francis is a bad pope, put in by a conspiracy; but the Church has survived bad popes before.
He may be priming to be the False Prophet in the Book of Revelation.
Your friend is correct. Like politicians, we get the popes we deserve.
"I am no fan of the current Pope but he said “The Lord wants to save everyone,” not “the Lord will save everyone.”"
Concur. I am not no fan of Catholicism, not just this pope, but asserting someone said or meant what they did not, in context, is a problem that is not simply seen in liberal sources, but too often is seen in conservative ones.
I suspect Saint Paul (formerly Saul), made it to heaven. He was a serious persecutor of Christians to their death.
If Saint Paul can be accepted, I have no doubt other sinners can be as well.
I have been a serious sinner. I hope to make it to heaven. One of my most difficult sins to overcome is doubt.
Bergoglio once again shows he is a heretic and minion of Satan by his obfuscation and misinterpretation of scripture.
He used poor language.
Confirmation of what I have always believed, that the Catholic doctrine of the papacy and papal infallibility is irrelevant in modern times. Disagree with the Pope? No problem, just label him a bad Pope. Every Catholic his own Pope I guess.
““The Lord Will Save Everyone””
So the dope pope can’t read the bible.
Only “a few” will be saved.
