Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone of San Francisco led a Holy Hour of Reparation on Saturday morning at the site of the destruction of the St. Junipero Serra statue. Vandals tore down and defaced the monument on June 19.
The Act of Reparation included the Holy Rosary and Latin prayers of exorcism. The service concluded with the archbishop blessing the site with holy water.
Msgr. Stephen Rossetti of the St. Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal said the archbishop performed a minor exorcism and commanded Satan to leave. He recited the Pope Leo XII Deliverance Prayers for People, Places or Things, also included in the Catholic Exorcism mobile app.
Msgr. Rossetti added that the holy water blessing is “an important part of the cleansing ritual.”
Fr. James Moore, OP, posted several photos of the exorcism and act of reparation on Instagram.
The full post reads, “Today, a group of every race and ethnicity gathered with our shepherd, Archbishop Cordileone, at the site of the desecration of the statue of St. Junípero to pray the Rosary. Then the Archbishop did an exorcism – and we all prayed for true justice and peace in our land!”

I whole heartedly support this act of exorcism performed by the Archbishop. Those who tore down the statue did it from the evil in their hearts and minds.
I wonder if these statues will ever be replaced? I don’t know how much it costs, or how much time and effort is needed to create statues, however, I would love it, if each and every one had a replacement installed. That would show these storm troopers that they can’t get away with this crap.
Whether that can happen is an open question.

Yes, it was very courageous four Archbishop Cordileone to do. I would suggest he perform more exorcisms outside the Pelosi Manse and outside all of the gay nightclubs in San Francisco.

I spent 30 minutes talking to him at an airport going to Rome right after he was named, and told him that FREEPERS were praying for him, and he was humbled. He seemed like a very HOLY man.
Wondering what Bishop Barron thinks about this, since he told Taylor Marshall it was the job of the laity to handle this.

If you think about it, by adopting the cross as their symbol and namesake, Christians were (inter alia) taking away the symbol placed looming over their land by an occupying empire; a symbol of fear, cruelty, oppression and torture, by the system and the powers-that-be. They were taking away the power of that symbol and owning it. In a way, like blacks owning the N-word. In another way, as a reminder to their opponents and oppressors of who they are. How revealing for the rioters to attack that symbol.
After the annoying oppression-reminder crosses are torn down, undefended, the public-dissenter-torture crosses will be brought back.
