I think it is of general interest. You know they pulled down the large cross, as well as the saint. This is war on all Christians. Thanks for posting generally.

If you think about it, by adopting the cross as their symbol and namesake, Christians were (inter alia) taking away the symbol placed looming over their land by an occupying empire; a symbol of fear, cruelty, oppression and torture, by the system and the powers-that-be. They were taking away the power of that symbol and owning it. In a way, like blacks owning the N-word. In another way, as a reminder to their opponents and oppressors of who they are. How revealing for the rioters to attack that symbol.

After the annoying oppression-reminder crosses are torn down, undefended, the public-dissenter-torture crosses will be brought back.
