Franky either doesn’t understand, or doesn’t care, that upwards of half a million American lives and probably 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 Japanese lives were saved by killing approximately 250,000 people with atomic bombs. It wasn’t a good choice, but given that there was only a choice between those two alternatives, President Truman made the right choice.
Further, without the existence of large numbers of nuclear weapons that we and the Russians were pointing at each other, it is fairly likely that there would’ve been a third world war sometime in the 1960s or 70s, which would have been far more bloody than World War II. Assholes like this guy don’t think below the first layer of the onion. It shows a subpar intelligence.
