My father was on Negros Island, Philippines, when the bombs dropped. He would have had the honor of being first in on the invasion of Japan. He did go to Japan in October 1945, but as an occupier, not a combatant.
Did they cry over the loss of American soldier lives in battle, being held captive and the attack on pearl harbor? Cry me a river padre
They supported the Arabs against Israel too.
The government ordered enough Purple Hearts for the invasion of Japan that they only ran out a few years ago.
Did they weep after Pearl Harbor? And how did they feel about the concentration camps?
This guy is a ridiculous emotionally driven Marxist fool.
And his parents were o.k. with the fire bombing of Tokyo? With a naval blockade that starved the people of Japan? And with the possibility of tens of millions of casualties, Japanese as well as Americans, if we had to invade?
And what did his parents think of Argentina remaining neutral through most of WWII? Let the English and Americans and the Russians do the dying (and the killing). Is neutrality moral when the world is in peril?
Turning to the present, we have had exactly one President who advocated “the zero option,” Ronald Reagan. It would have required credible inspections and retention of the right to re-arm if those inspections weren’t. His proposal was shot down by the same deep state that opposes Donald Trump.
The Pope is an asshole (still).
My father fought in the Pacific.
Bullsh!t.
Did the Pope shed tears for the 72 men in the crew of the Chinese submarine that accidentally vaporized itself last week in the 20 kiloton explosion in the South China Sea?
Maybe Pope Francis was on the side of the Germans and Japanese... it would fit his creepy totalitarian viewpoints.
My father shot in bridge of nose dragging his wounded lt through a trench. Looked up at the wrong time. 3 inches off bullet in brain. Fate or luck or grace of God
And Pelosi went to Hiroshima to lay flowers and apologize.
He ought to celebrate the mercy of God.
It saved Japan from being divided, like Korea, with the most likely outcome a Civil War, that would have made Korea look like child’s play.
