Lord, we pray that leaders who govern unjustly will make many mistakes in decisions, especially involving world evangelism (Psalm 109:29);
leaders who despise You will fall from power through improper advice (Psalm 5:10, 19:14);
leaders who are truly searching for understanding will find knowledge and wisdom in Your word (Proverbs 28:2).
Let the leaders who live in darkness receive a personal message of Your love (Psalm 52:15);
leaders who live in war-torn nations will grow weary of continual bloodshed (I Kings 5:3-4);
leaders who lead corrupt governments will recognize their evil ways and turn to You (II Chron 33:12-13);
leaders who boast of power will realize that their earthly kingdom was given to them by You (Daniel 2:19-22).

Dear Lord, we thank You for the victories in North Carolina. Lord, if it is Your Will, may more conservatives be placed in leadership. May this nation be led away from destruction and into Your Light.
Father God, on this Patriots Day, we lift up the survivors of 9/11. We lift up the heroes and remember those we lost. We especially lift up our soldiers, our Gold Star families, and our wounded warriors. Bless them, oh Lord. Give them peace and healing. Give them Jesus.
Joining you in praise and prayer, and Remembrance, in Jesus Holy Name, Amen.
Amen, remembering, praying, thanking, standing with eachother
Lifting up the people of New York, including our very own President Trump but especially survivors of the attacks, or any who lost loved ones. Praying for all first responders from that day and for the families of first responders who have passed away due to ground zero-related illnesses.
For all military veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Middle East and their families, especially any who suffer from chronic pain, debilitating injuries, or PTSD.
That GOD bring healing and make His presence felt and known to the men and women who have and continue to put their lives on the line for this country. And their families.
For the scourge of suicide to be removed from the military and the general population.
Prayers for an end to military conflict in Afghanistan and for peace and open doors for the Gospel there, and also Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. For freedom to enter in and for God to subdue any forces or nations who are obstructing the cause of freedom and evangelism in those places.
Prayers that the era of darkness, fear, and terror unleashed by the attacks be replaced by one of Christian revival, Faith, and restoration of our most cherished values. That we turn to GOD and not the idols of sports, entertainment, technology, or even politics etc... in the midst of despair and challenge. That we cling to the promises of eternity, and not stake our ultimate hopes on earth: that our life insurance plan be of Heaven, and not of this world.
For an end to the mass shootings and terrorism within our shores, so often perpetrated by those born and shaped by the post 9/11 era. For an end to the opioid epidemic and for lasting healing for any and every person suffering from mental illness of any kind.
That there be a turnaround in the cultural climate of doomsday thinking and an antichrist apocalyptic imagination that is not of God.
And finally for a renaissance of culture and renewal of the church that the body of Christ answer the call to LEAD the culture instead of blur into the background. That we go on the spiritual offensive in every facet of society, and bear the name of Christ with loving boldness, and not with shame or hesitancy.
Joining you in prayer. God bless.
Joining with you all in prayer, praise and thanksgiving!
Heavenly Father, we remember the sights, the sounds the horror:
The images of exhausted, ash covered first responders;
The chirping sounds of the trapped fire-fighters location devices coming from the pile;
The dogs that were there, first searching for survivors
then searching for bodies;
The pictures of missing loved ones tacked on every telephone pole and billboard; and
The sad procession of family members walking up to the staging area to see the actual devastation.
But Lord, we also remember those thousands who came from all around the country and indeed the world to do whatever they could to help:
The crime investigators who did the grisly work of evidence handling;
The forensic workers who did the unthinkable job of identifying the dead;
The chaplains and counselors and administrators who came to do the essential work needed to give the survivors what they needed; and
The crane operators and construction and demolition experts who entered the burning pile so that others could safely search.
We remember the grief and the sorrow of a nation,
We remember the pain from the images seared into our national conscience of that day; our lives being forever changed.
But, we also remember the unity that crossed party lines, singing God Bless America. The land that we love, knowing that You stood beside her and You guided her, through that day. And You guided her through those nights after with Your light from above.
We remember the 2976 precious people from 93 nations living in our nation dying that day. We know it was not just America attacked on September 11, 2001, but it was the world.
And we remember the men and women who have served and who are serving our nation. Our great military and first responders. Finding themselves in harms way in distant lands, and on our streets. Fighting and defending for our freedom, and serving with all their hearts to help others.
They fight for the self-evident truths that all mankind is created equal, endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And in You, O Lord, are true life, the One who is the way, the truth and the life.
We bless them, God. We bless our service-members. We bless their families, and we pray that our military and all who are overseas, will safely return into our loving arms. But we also pray for Your healing for all those families who lost a loved one in the wars we have engaged in because of 9/11.
We know that Your justice rolls on like a river, Your righteousness like a never-failing stream. And we stand on all Your sacred and true promises, knowing that You will bring a great awakening to us once again. You will bring the healing from the Tree of Life that all nations need.
We humble ourselves before You. May Your grace be poured out upon us all.
Most of all we remember You, Oh God. As your servant Moses said, and the hymn writer penned
we now pray:
Oh God our help in ages past
Our hope for years to come
Our shelter from the stormy blast and our eternal home
Under the shadow of Thy throne
Still may we dwell secure
Sufficient is Thine arm alone
And our defense is sure
Before the hills in order stood
Or earth received her frame
From everlasting Thou art God
To endless years the same
Oh God our help in ages past
Our hope for years to come
Be Thou our guard while troubles last
And our eternal Home
Amen.
This prayer was written by Jared Laskey and Jim Jenkins who was a chaplain at Ground Zero after 9/11. It was prayed by Pastor David Foote at a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Norfolk, VA.
Amen.
Joining you all on this sad day of remembrance.
Dear Lord -— please comfort the hearts and souls of all, and lead and guide us all back to you.
