Pat, A baby is a baby. God’s creation. You know what Jesus said about being lukewarm. If this is the stand that the CBN network has on abortion, count me out as a donor.
I think you want to pass the most restrictive law that might be upheld before the Supreme Court. This one is so politically risky that it could lead to serious election losses in 2020. If we could roll back the 19th Amendment, this wouldn’t be a problem. Thing is - women can vote, and they tend to vote against politicians who want to ban abortion.
He may have a point. We may want to wait until Trump replaces RBG to make a full out assault on Roe V Wade.
Another loss reinforcing Roe is not a good thing. Roberts is not dependable.
As I understand it the authorities in AL purposefully adopted a stringent prolife bill because they wanted to provoke a Supreme Court confrontation. They believe it’s time to address the worst judicial decision in our nation’s history.
Pat’s a “moderate” when it comes to murder. He’s a murderette!
Who ordained this guy? Private interpretation leads to all kinds of confusion. Just ask Martin Luther.
I agree with him on SCOTUS. This will delay the chance to overturn Roe if it is brought before the court.
For mercy sakes!......When the states have the COURAGE to pass Prolife/anti abortion bills........SALUTE THEM....APPLAUD THEM......SUPPORT THEM!!!!!!!!
Folks are finding their gumption again thanks to our President!.....and righteous legislators are waiting in the wings to activate!!!!
Weve been waiting 46 years.......
....60 MILLION BABIES MURDERED!!!!
I am opposed to abortion on principle, but I agree with Pat on this one.
No I do not think Christian morality on all things can be imposed by secular law, and I don’t think Christian morality is to follow secular law no matter what it says. Christians should do what is right by Christian values and NOT because the law says to do something. Abortion is wrong whether the secular law says so or not, annd every social means of moral persuasion should be used to move society to not support abortion.
And, yes, sometimes, good purpose or not, secular law can be too extreme.
I fear Pat is right. I fear the appearance of any lack of compassion for any circumstance outside of the mother’s health is going to cost the GOP votes in November 2020. It’s a battle we might win, even in the courts, and the cost of the battle might be a worse calamity from the elections.
Yes, I think there is some distance that is O.K. between Christian morality and secular law. I do not look to the secular law to define us or our society. The only thing that is important is what people do, not what secular law says they can or cannot do. Christ is not holding you to the secular laws governing you.
Surprise, surprise... doesnt believe what it preaches...
Shocker.
If you believe life is a gift from God, and begins at conception, you dont kill it because its conception came from a morally repugnant act.
Pat Robertson is straddling the fence here. Either he is against abortion and wants Roe v Wade repealed, or he wants to kill innocent children who are the products of rape & incest. Murder is murder there Pat. You can’t say killing children who are the product of rape or incest is okay, but not okay if just unwanted for other reasons.
I figured out this guy was a fake a long time ago. With Carla Fay Tucker.
Robertson just gave them an excuse.
This poor soul has been senile for years. His ratings should be zero.
