Christ Alignment staff describe themselves as "trained spiritual consultants," and say on their website that they "draw from the same divine energy of the Christ spirit."

Charles Manson used to make similar claims...

Didn’t Reverend Ike used to send you Destiny Cards if you sent him $20?

“We draw from the same divine energy of the Christ spirit, as ancient followers did and operate only out of the third heaven realm to gain insight and revelation,”...

Sounds like some FReepers I’ve encountered on the religion forums. Phrases like “divine energy of the Christ spirit” are patent new age claptrap. How any group with doctrine like this got past the church leadership is the real story. Often you find them to be worse than useless, going along with every wind of doctrine and kissing the head honcho’s butt 24/7.

Usually, when the social mob around you is running pell-mell one way, it’s best to sit quietly with G-d and not follow.

It is most often not Christ that draws mobs together, in my view.

Tip of the iceberg for that hell-hole. Bethel church has metastasized and is sending it’s occult practices throughout the world.
Bethel is behind the most freakish behavior - it’s truly satanic. I researched it years ago and it’s still disturbing to recall what I read and watched re Bethel.
They channel spirits and the whole auditorium reverberates with the wailing of the damned as the church attendees moan and shriek. Every malevolent practice is distilled there and Bethel in Redding is the envy of evil; those practicing to be gods in their own image speak enviously of others who are from the Redding church, like it’s a demonic pedigree thing to be able to brag that you’ve “studied” or “worshipped” there.

Where is the church board of directors? How many members have they lost? If I had walked into this church as a non member or as a seeker, I would have run for the door the second they pulled this out of the box. As a member, I would have been compelled to stand up and denounce it.

As far as I’m concerned, Christians believe in magic and sorcery too. They just don’t call it that.

Good grief, the ignorance and occultic superstition.

Next thing you know they’ll be burying statues upside-down to sell their houses faster.

Bethel Church, a controversial megachurch in Redding, California, is now under fire in Christian circles for allegedly promoting New Age occultism in the use of "Destiny Cards," which critics have likened to tarot cards.

Damn!

You'd think they were publishing novenas or something!!

Yes, why actually talk to God through prayer when you can pretend he speaks through a deck of cards?
