Colossians 1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"
Not long ago, I was talking with another creationist about the impossibility of the first living cell coming into being through natural causes from non-living chemicals. I asked him, "Even if such a thing were possible, what would the first living cell eat?" Without missing a beat, my friend said: "Cellery?"
The two of us shared a good laugh together, but I can assure you that the origin of life is no laughing matter to evolutionists. Many evolutionists, in fact, prefer to sidestep the issue completely, asserting that evolution deals only with the origin of different species after that first living cell has somehow come into being.
But have you ever stopped to think about how that first living cell could have survived for even a millisecond? Unless its environment was perfectly suited to sustain that cell's life, it would have died in an instant. Unless the cell had necessary nutrients, it would likewise quickly perish. And unless it had the means to reproduce itself, that first living cell would be the last. Or, perhaps, hundreds of millions of years later, the second living cell would ooze out of a primordial soup of non-living chemicals and once again die a millisecond later!
No, as the great scientist Louis Pasteur demonstrated in 1859, life comes only from life. Pasteur confirmed what the Bible tells us that life on Earth came from the living God.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for continuing to frustrate scientists who believe that life could have come about through natural causes. Reveal to them that life was created by Your Son. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
You’re going off derivative speculations, without even realizing it. I know it’s difficult, but try to go before that.
Amino acids formed by chemical reactions of elements. Basic chemistry really.
Next lets talk about the different cells that make up the digestive system, the circulatory system, etc.
Now lets talk about all the systems interacting with other systems.
And the solar system, the universe.
Are you that small minded that you quote a chemical reaction? And even that small chemical reaction can have many possible outcomes.
You are a classic example of why “experts” DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT SYSTEMS, BECAUSE IT LEADS TO AN ANSWER YOU DON’T WANT TO HEAR.
:-D
Not really.
Every living thing seems to need light infused compounds that we cannot really duplicate. We know supposedly know what the chemical compound is for sugar, e.g., but for some reason man-made sugar doesn't work. We meat-eaters may not directly consum light infused compounds, but all that beef was eating grass and grain.

Bacteria do not necessarily need to eat organic matter. You have those which use photosynthesis. You have simpler bacteria which use chemosynthesis, metabolizing sulfides from volcanic vents (of which there were likely plenty in the early days of the Earth). You also have bacteria which get energy from oxidizing ammonia , and others methane (of which there was lots in the early atmosphere of Earth).
Once there were lots of bacteria, there could arise other cells which got energy by eating bacteria.
No, it is also naturally occurring. Saturn’s moon Titan has oceans of methane and methane rain.
Object Oriented Programming (OOP) gives a good analogy for how creation works. First God created the abstract types (kinds in the English translations) and then He instantiated them. So He creates Man in His own image and then He forms a man out of the earth.
As every programmer knows, when you create the types, they are always “very good”! It is only when they are instantiated that the trouble begins. ;-)
And if a democrat just read this maybe their thinking my"Maybe I picked the wrong side..."
OMG!
How did they know?
I stay awake nights fretting about that.
...not!...
Nope. While living creatures might produce methane, it also occurs naturally. The atmosphere of Jupiter, for example, contains methane, ammonia, and ethane. Are you claiming that there is life there producing it?
You’ve got my vote so far...
You've got way too much time on your hands, Dude!
I hit the impenetrable knowledge wall right after...
First there was nothing...
Then it exploded!
Why else would atheist materialists think it's so all-fired important???
Excellent
I reject your premise. Why at the molecular level?
Why not at the (obvious) atomic level? Better yet, at the fundamental particles level?
Together, of course, with a controlling "database" mapping the reassembly. Think big.
But let's bypass the BS.
If there is an omnipotent God, by definition, anything is possible. Isn't that the essence of the word "omnipotent?"
Yes, for Him.
Plants came first, even in the Genesis creation narrative.
So the first cell “ate” sunlight.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And yet, those planets are decidedly devoid of life.
This is really a great thread.
Cell lives matter. They ate with an EBT card from God.
