The National Catholic Reporter has named a homosexual couple as its "Persons of the Year" for 2015.
The Reporter-- a weekly newspaper marked by its persistent dissent from Church teachings-confers the recognition on Greg Bourke and Michael DeLeon, who are described as active Catholics in Louisville, Kentucky, who are partners in a same-sex union. Bourke and DeLeon were plaintiffs in the Obergefell v. Hodges decision, in which the US Supreme Court struck down definitions of marriage that barred legal recognition of homosexual partnerships.

Discussing that rag or what they write about is a waste of time.
“How ‘bout ‘dem Bears?”

Our New Goofy Pope seems to be a backer of that style of Sordid Lifestyle???

The National anti-Catholic Reporter
Fixed it.
I’ll say it again-schism-it’s the only answer for those seeking a proper Catholic identity...
Remember, this is NOT a Catholic newspaper.
“Iâll say it again-schism-itâs the only answer for those seeking a proper Catholic identity...”
And that makes no sense. Let the wackos like National Catholic Reporter go into schism - which they’ve effectively already done. I’m staying with the Church because Christ founded it and He doesn’t fail.
Any news media that purports to be “Catholic” and writes this garbage is as far away from being “Catholic” as they can be. Shame on them.
Let the wackos like National Catholic Reporter go into schism - which theyâve effectively already done.
You are aware that the NCR absolutly loves and reveres the current pope...and the Novus Ordo church as it exists today; hardly schismatic behavior...what they dissent from is the theology taught prior to 1964, as the Church itself did with its repudiation of those traditional values...
Iâm staying with the Church because Christ founded it and He doesnât fail.
If you had parsed properly, you’d have realized that by my statement, I do as well...but I reject the modernity that the Novus Ordo church has deliberately foisted on us, as it was a blatant attempt to remediate distinctions with dissenters from the preconciliar Church...
Good fix. They obviously haven’t read the Bible.
“You are aware that the NCR absolutly loves and reveres the current pope...”
Do they love him when he makes a pro-life statement? They don’t actually love. They simply love when he says something they agree with or can twist to sound like they agree.
“and the Novus Ordo church as it exists today; hardly schismatic behavior...”
More than 40 years ago the NCR was told to stop calling itself “Catholic” by the ordinary. They refused. Hardly schismatic behavior?
“what they dissent from is the theology taught prior to 1964, as the Church itself did with its repudiation of those traditional values...”
Actually, what they dissent from is reason and truth itself - not just about the Faith, but about many things. They are a schismatic publication.
“If you had parsed properly, youâd have realized that by my statement, I do as well...but I reject the modernity that the Novus Ordo church has deliberately foisted on us, as it was a blatant attempt to remediate distinctions with dissenters from the preconciliar Church..”
If “do as well” then stop referring to the “Novus Ordo church”. There’s just the Church. There is no “Novus Ordo church”. We can say that there are Catholics who are far from perfect (terrible, in fact) but we can’t logically say that there is another “church” that has replaced THE Church. That is a logical and theological impossibility. That’s how a schismatic would think, not a loyal Catholic.
‘’Novus Ordo church’’. There-s just the Church. There is no ‘’Novus Ordo church’’.

Have either of you considered that the “Second Vatican Council” was actually a sweeping motion of schism which effectively did create a false church which one may term the ‘’Novus Ordo church’’?
Perhaps the schism was the council itself with those who subsequently have promoted it acting as heretics, ignoring tradition and embracing novelty, against Christ’s wishes!
That would leave as faithful, those who continue the traditional Latin Mass in the form prior to such schism.
When did Henry C Beck write or say that?
