Any news media that purports to be “Catholic” and writes this garbage is as far away from being “Catholic” as they can be. Shame on them.
This pair go to Mass at the parish 3 blocks down where I graduated from grade school. One of them is a Communion minister. They’ve adopted a couple of children. One was set to become a Scout leader again at the parish, but Archbishop Kurtz stepped in personally and blocked it. The pastor doesn’t seem to have a problem with the situation as one of the two had his picture published in a parish newsletter in an article about a parish social event. I belong to the more traditional St. Martin of Tours in Downtown Louisville.
I though NCR took more of a wink-wink approach to dissent. Dissenting but not openly. This is brazen!
