Less “exalted” Catholics, OTOH, do not bear the slightest blame for this denial of G-d and His word by those who have captured political power and presume to speak for them. Normal, ordinary, decent people - of whatever faith - benefit from G-d’s favor, often in spite of what others do or say in their name.

Surely...There are tons of Catholics as well as non Catholics who have no idea of the significance of this act...
