Harvesting the Truth of Vatican II ^ | March 14, 2015 | Louie Verrecchio

And so the effort to grease the skids in preparation for what promises to be the upcoming Synod’s assault on Catholic doctrine in the name of “pastoral solutions” has been ratcheted up a notch:

Specifically, Pope Francis’ recent announcement of an “extraordinary Jubilee” under the title the Holy Year of Mercy.

Maybe you should ask your husband since he probably does the driving.

Are you twelve or thirteen years old?

For one who rejects what scripture says about sin and man's nature, that too comes as no surprise.

Tell me again who's rejecting Scripture.

Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained. John 20:23

“Yes, it does.”

Yes, it does what?

“St. Anne Catholic Church in Waterford, Connecticut.”

Do you mean St. Ann Melkite Greek Catholic Church in Waterford, Connecticut? It’s St. Ann, not St. Anne. And what about it? It has no Novus Ordo Mass at all, and it is a Catholic parish.

I never rejected anything in scripture, but Luther did reject numerous books of the Old and New Testament as inspired.

My apologies. It is St. Agnes.

“Are you twelve or thirteen years old?”

Were you twelve or thirteen years old when you said this:

“Does that mean I go to one of them, Carnac?”

or this:

“Doesn’t every Catholic parish have a novus ordo church?”

or this:

“My Novus Ordo church sure didn’t.”

or this:

“Are you looking to ditch your wife and “marry” another?”

Kettle.

Pot.

“My apologies. It is St. Agnes.”

What about it? You’re still making no sense.

I was wrong on both guesses. Nine years old or younger.

I’m guessing the reference was to Novus Ordo in a given Catholic diocese.

Maybe you should ask your husband to help you make sense.

And that still doesn’t make sense.

I could easily say, “my Novus Ordo church” if I am only referencing a local Novus Ordo church in my diocese. That doesn’t mean that I attend such church. I might attend the FSSP church or an ICKSP church.

“I could easily say...”

You’re making excuses, and not very good ones. What was said was said.

Luther did reject numerous books of the Old and New Testament as inspired.

He translated them, for the questionable he left the inspiration decision to the reader.

Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.

Who says I reject that. I can go to my pastor and confess if I wish, but I can also go boldly before the throne of God and confess my sins to Him since I am His child and an heir to His Kingdom. Have you confessed to an Apostle lately? Perhaps so.

“He translated them, for the questionable he left the inspiration decision to the reader.”

If so that makes sola scriptura all the more bizarre a doctrine.
