Born-again Christians who are proclaiming the truths of Gods Word are increasingly being accused, especially by unbelievers, of judging them, against the admonition of Jesus, Do not judge, as if Christians are not allowed, much less instructed, to judge anyone or anything, ever. But, is that really what Jesus meant? Is that a valid accusation, or is it merely a ploy to mislead us and keep us from speaking out on current moral issues, so that they can freely contend for their version of moral truth without opposition?

Remember what Jesus said.. I think it was John 12:47.... I have not come to judge, but to save.
“Judge not lest ye be judged.” With the standard you use to judge, you will be judged.
The liberals lie as usual. Everything is a tool to advance liberalism. The bible is no different. Take Jesus’ words out of context for things like “turn the other cheek” but ignore leviticus. Alinsky rules dontcha know
I never judge anyone. Not even the ones I despise.
Matthew 18:15-17
New International Version (NIV)
Dealing With Sin in the Church
15 If your brother or sister[a] sins,[b] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.[c] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
The bible commands me to judge. I believe the Catholic interpretation of not judging refers to not judging if someone will go to Hell. We can judge the outward appearances (e.g. outwards displays of objective sin) in an effort to turn the person away from sin but we can’t say someone will be damned to Hell.

“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment. John 7:24
The words of Christ Himself.
Do remember that Ayn Rand was one of the main influences behind the Satanic Bible.
Some would claim to even quote the scripture is judging. Say like Christ saying ‘Remember Lot’s wife. Or even to quote Christ that the law is still in effect. I think the word ‘judge’ means what ever any one individual decides they want it to mean.
I do not disagree. Only the Heavenly Father can know motivation and intent. He also is the only one that keeps a perfect record. However, I do believe that one can discern by observing patterns if they develop. Say a person tells a lie, when called out, the person makes excuses, denies, or apologizes that if they offended. I do not consider it ‘judging’, to mark that person a congenital liar. I have no power to do anything to change that person.

Ba da bing! Cue the laugh track...
John 3:17 - “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Next time He comes, however, it will be to judge and condemn the world.
Agreed.
Good points.
Here`s some good stuff on judging....I am accused of judging all the time, even by folks here
