Requesting Prayers For My Son David - He was Assaulted Today And Is Hospital With Concussion

I received a call from a local hospital shortly after 3:00 p.m. informing me that my son David had been beaten up and brought there by ambulance. They were performing X-rays and CT scans. It appears that he suffered a concussion. My wife is at the hospital and I will be following her there in the next few minutes.

Oh, dear Conor! I was so sorry to hear about David’s attack this morning, and immediately sent prayers up! I have continued to pray all this day, for him, and was happy to just read your update at #94, letting us know that David is home, and nothing serious was detected.

Prayers will continue for rapid and total healing. (And prayers too, that JUSTICE will come to the perp(s)!

Thanks to all for your continued prayers on behalf of David, our family, and me. David is doing quite well today. We had him seen by his Primary Care Physician this afternoon - all clear. His cheek is quite swollen - lacerations inside. This guy really cleaned his clock.

The perp is charged with Assault in the Second Degree, which in Maryland, means assault without a firearm. Trial is set for 1July2013 at 0845 in that Citadel of Justice, the District Court of Maryland for Prince George's County located in beautiful downtown Hyattsville, Md.

Maximum penalty: imprisonment not exceeding 10 years or a fine not exceeding $2,500.00, or both. I don't know whether this guy has any priors - if not, he'll probably walk.

Thank you again for your Prayers and kind thoughts - they are much needed and appreciated. I will keep you updated on any developments as they occur.

Conor, I missed this when it was posted and am happy to know David is doing well. What a horrible scare that he was assulted and injured and I pray he continues to do well. You were kind to me when my daughter died and I won’t forget that.
