"Unlike Jews and others targeted by the Nazis, the Witnesses were prisoners of conscience. They could have bought freedom by signing a declaration card that renounced their faith and pledged allegiance to Hitler. Few took the offer. Most stayed, and many died.
Why Hitler bothered to single out such a minor group - and the tenacity with which the Witnesses resisted him - is what makes their story significant, says Michael Berenbaum, director of the Research Institute at the US Holocaust Museum in Washington. "The Jehovah's Witnesses were literally the only martyrs of the Holocaust," Mr. Berenbaum says."

You are losses if that is what you believe.
What part of, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO one comes to the Father accept through ME”.
You are saved through Christ, not the Catholic Church.
Without Christ, there is NO Salvation!
If you do NOT FIND CHRIST YOU HAVE NOT FOUND SALVATION!
belonging to a Religious Cult is not going to save anyone. Jehovah Witnesses deny who Christ is.
Sorry, but anyone who deny’s Christ willbe forever lost.
What part of the Scriptures do you not understand?
What part of Christs warnings do you not understand?
Christ is God, Only through Christ can one find salvation.
To tiptoe around the truth because you are afraid to hurt ones feelings is not going to help them.
I treat all cults the same, whether they be JW’s or Islam, they are all leading their followers ti HELL!
It’s important to note that the (Catholic) Church does teach those who have never heard of Christ but earnestly seek to imitate Him by following the Law inscribed in every man’s heart can be saved, but if they are saved it is still only through Christ.
IOW, the Church teaches it is only through Christ that a man is saved. Thus it’s a strawman argument to say the Church teaches a man can be saved without Christ (or through his good works alone). The Church doesn’t teach that.
The Nazis (those mythical bad guys whose source and native lands have not been determined) could never find and catch the Witnesses, and that’s because they were always out and about in the neighbourhoods knocking on citizens’ doors. Today the IRS has a similar problem with the Witnesses.
Interesting factoid, there were no Witnesses in the Clinton administration.
So aborted babies and babies that die before baptism aren’t welcomed into Heaven?
I’ve had Catholics tell me that baptism saves.
But that’s not good enough either because they then tell me that you have to go to confession, and partake of THEIR communion, but if you sin you can still go to hell.
Catholics does not in practice teach that salvation is through Christ, it teaches that it is through following their rules and regulations and doing certain rituals, and that doing those rituals in the physical, material realm in which we live causes spiritual realities to happen.
There is a world of difference between what Catholicism teaches in writing and what it teaches in practice.
We (as Catholics) are permitted to believe that God, being not only Love but Just, would not therefore go contrary to His very nature and do anything else other than embrace those most precious of His creation into His Beatific Vision, through His Son Jesus Christ.
We are taught that God made the Sacraments for us, but He is not bound by these same Sacraments. He can, and does, choose to save whomever He wishes at any time. This is also how those who never heard of His Son can be saved as well.
The Roman Catholic church taught for many years that babies who died before being baptized never had a chance to go to heaven, they were consigned to Limbo forever.
That has now changed, but I've known my share of Catholics who were afraid to take their newborns anywhere until they were baptized lest something happen to them.
Apparently they've changed their stance on Limbo in recent years. I guess it's not too popular to tell parents their babies will not make it to heaven if they die before being baptized.
Correct. Let me be clear, Limbo was never official Church dogma; it was always a theological theory and thus, subject to “change” at any time without compromising the teaching authority of the Church.
Also, please note I only have one screen name here (FourtySeven); I don’t know to whom that other one belongs. I only happened to notice your post via happy coincidence.
True.
But their "scriptura" is different than that of Christianity's.
Why would I think you have more than one screen name?
I didn't say you did I merely wanted to make it clear I don't, as that's a big no-no here.
For the record, I didn't believe you did believe I had another screenname. IMO, your mistake was an honest one.
Sorry, I missed this post.
Yes Baptism saves us “now”, however it is not a guarantee of Salvation. This is what the Church has always taught and it’s reasonable.
Well, then, I certainly don’t understand why you would point out that you had only one screen name.
So, one can lose their salvation?
So being sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption does not really mean being sealed?
Because you were clearly intending to ping me in the post where you had “Forty_Seven” in the “To” field.
Yes.
“But their “scriptura” is different than that of Christianity’s.”
Oh really? Since you’ve off the thread’s subject may as well go all in and explain.
Yeah, it was a courtesy ping. Not that I thought you had more than one screen name.
