Do we love those inclined to homosexuality enough to stop same-sex ‘marriage’?

Lets get one thing straight.
In this battle over same-sex marriage it often sounds like those pushing the dismantling of traditional marriage have the upper hand in terms of love. You are opposed to love!; How does the love between me and my partner affect you in your marriage?; Why cant I be allowed to love whomever I choose?
These are the tough arguments from love facing those who are fighting to protect marriage from radical redefinition.
In truth, however, love is the principle reason to fight same-sex marriage.
You see, law is a teacher and enshrining same-sex marriage in law would lead many people to believe that homosexual sexual relations are equal to those of heterosexual married couples. The difficulty, of course, is that while sexual acts between heterosexual married couples can be totally healthy and positive, the same can never be said of sexual acts between persons of the same sex, whether they happen within a relationship given the name marriage or not.
Our bodies were not designed for that behavior, and our anatomy itself gives that testimony. The negative mental and physical health consequences that flow from homosexual sex are many and the medical evidence pointing to them is readily available on LifeSiteNews.

Obviously you did not comprehend the point I was trying to make. Let me explain in more simple terms.
No heterosexual person has died from homosexual behavior.

Haggai 1:5-12
(NIV)
5 Now this is what the Lord Almighty says:
Give careful thought to your ways. 6 You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.
7 This is what the Lord Almighty says:
Give careful thought to your ways.. 8 Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored, says the Lord. 9 You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why? declares the Lord Almighty. Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house. 10 Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. 11 I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the olive oil and everything else the ground produces, on people and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.
12 Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of the people obeyed the voice of the Lord their God and the message of the prophet Haggai, because the Lord their God had sent him. And the people feared the Lord.

not to mention the ‘requirement for marrige’ has NEVER been simply ‘love’ - a man or woman can ‘love’ their car, their couch, or whatever- but that does NOT give them the ‘right’ to be married to said objects or subjects- Gay rights advocates keep insisting that gay peopel ‘love each other’ and therefore shoudl be allowed to be married- they are ignorant of the ‘requirenemtns’ of marriage thinkign that simple love is all that is needed to secure a privilege granted by governemnt- A man may love several women all at once, but he is NOT allowede to marry them all at once (I won’;t even get into all the sick deviant ‘loves’ that peopel claim that are NOT allowed by law)
As You say- TRUE love does NOT allow or encourage peopel to keep livign in a destructive lifestyle, NOR shoudl it allow such lifestyles to proffit off their deviancy via taxpayer money meant ot go to hetero couples for the purposes of procreation (Yes, sterile hetero couples are allowed to marry and still get marriage benifits (however they don’t get ‘child deductions’ of course) but they also are not livign dangerous lifestyles, nor abnormal destructive lifestyles- and it’s true that alcoholics and drug addicts also get marriage benifits, however, thsoe benifits can and ARE taken away anytiem the govenrment deems it necessary- the bottom line is that marriage benifits are NOT a right, but a privilege given top htose who CHOOSE a normal natural course of behavior for the purposes of creatign and raising new generatiosn of taxpatyers

When Roe vs Wade was passed it was because the majority of American people wanted it to be so or it would have never passed..... unintended consequences...
Forced bussing (did the majority want it?) gave us 'integration' all right; but it ALSO gave us white flight to the suburbs and failing inner city schools today.

And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.
When did they get REMOVED???

You can ‘blame’ that on abortion if you wish; but there are LOTs of factors governing voting.

"Let California decide what they want."
Umm, the State did and was overturned by a FEDERAL court, lol. What next Einstein? The US Constitution is way deep-down and entrenched into the rabbit hole already eroding States' Rights for decades on end.
Should the States (In this case the people of California who wanted Prop 8) just give up because a DISTRICT Federal Court overturned Cali's 10th Amendment rights? Not sure what you are implying because the reality of the situation is not "hitting" you yet.
Right now Prop 8 has been overturned by the FEDS in the 9th, where is your Federalism that you claim exist?

It is not love to encourage an alcoholic to drink and to get behind a steering wheel and drive. That would be total lack of caring for that person. It is the so-called open minded people who are killing the homosexual, and it is the biblical folks who are showing love by trying to get them to change.Beautiful!

The satanic goal is to all give obeisance to the false ideology that makes a mockery of the Creator who made man and women uniquely compatible and complimentary and only joined them together in marriage.Exactly right. I believe most of the homosexual lobby don't even realize they are "useful idiots" in the hands of the Devil.

When Roe vs Wade was passed it was because the majority of American people wanted it to be so or it would have never passed.....Roe v. Wade is a great example of how the left manipulates the culture. It was never passed by Congress. Roe V. Wade was imposed on the country by our imperious SCOTUS. A generation later abortion has become mainstream and the only real opposition to it is the dwindling Christian population. The left is doing the same thing with homosexual marriage. They can't get a lot of states to pass it, so they will get the SCOTUS to legislate it from the bench.

What will you do when the SCOTUS approves homo-marriage and it becomes a nationally approved issue instead of limited to 9 liberal states?I will continue to walk by faith and try to explain to any young person, that will listen, that homosexuality is a sin and that they will have to decide whether they believe in God and His Word, or themselves but you can't have it both ways.
As a practical matter, I will advise the elders of my church that we should look into making all employees contractors and end any benefit packages. I've already suggested to our elders that we establish a directory listing church members businesses so that we can support one another financially.
From a political standpoint I think I'm pretty much done with the Pub party. The Pubs don't seem to think the social issues are all that important and long term I'm not to optimistic.
