Secret U.S. experiments to prompt 2nd Coming?

Is mankind's quest for knowledge, power and longer life about to backfire and wipe human beings off the face of the Earth?

Secret experiments now underway in the U.S. and elsewhere are sparking fears of a potential extinction-level event hastening the 2nd Coming of Jesus.

For decades now, there have been science-fiction stories portraying a future filled with spectacular abilities for people, where the definition of what makes someone a human being is blurred by blending high technology and even animal traits into the human body.

In the 1970s, TV's "Six Million Dollar Man" featured Lee Majors as a critically injured astronaut rebuilt by the government to "make him better than he was – better, stronger, faster."

In 1982's classic film "Blade Runner," Harrison Ford portrayed a futuristic cop who falls in love with a genetically engineered female "Replicant" while he looked to kill renegade androids seeking immortality.

Since then, there's been no shortage of tales with similar themes, from "Dollhouse" and "The Terminator" to "Spider-Man," "Splice" and "The Matrix."

It would seem that God has His own agenda for the coming of Jesus and the wrap up of history that is independent of science.

"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." Rom 11:25

See 2 Thessalonians 2: 1-3 as well, also good reference.

My mother always told me that the coming of Jesus would be like a present you can’t open prematurely, I personally like to share this analogy whenever people talk about the end of the world, because I think it’s a good one.

Reminds me of a great series I read a few years back, THE CHRIST CLONE TRILOGY. Scientists clone blood found on The Shroud of Turin and, well, you’ll have to read the books to find out! Author is James Beauseignuer.

I believe Earth is God's experiment. So far as can be seen and so far as will ever be seen. When viewed in the context of the universe, one can only pray God does not turn his back on allowing mankind an existence, in relative peace. The times when man and satan have ruled have been malicious ... imho

It's like standing in line at Wal-Mart, reading the tabloid headlines, where we're all on a first name basis with "celebrities."

Step One: Remove Head (a) from fundament (b).

Yeah, well still that Climate Change/Control thing worked out so well, I guess we can move on to telling the Almighty what His timetable ought to be.

These arrogant people thinking they can force God to change the date and time? HOW pompous.

Combine this story with Friday’s story about the Enviros saying the CO2 emissions are going to attract the space aliens attention and they will wipe us out.

What does it all mean?

It would be a good AT&T commercial. Man shows up on a hilltop at noon, ready to be raptured. No one else is there, just piles of clothing.

He gets a belated text message, “Rapture has been moved to 11 am, be sure to arrive early.”

A good guess would be, "nothing." In fact, that is a great guess.

If we are really doing anything to prompt the second coming, we are just doing things God has already seen and knew we would do. We are not hastening it, he knew it would happen before he formed Adam.

Nothin? Not so great of a guess. I predict sometime within the next six months, at a minimum, hundreds will die from hurricanes, flooda, and tornados, thousands from earthquakes, and thousands more from war.
