Disgraceful.
Shame on O’Malley, though I can't say that I am surprised.

Absolutely shameful display of Catholic hypocracy. Kennedy supported abortion, infidelity, rape, cowardice, fornication, and drunkenness.

The Catholic church is not what most of it’s members believe and hope that it is. The roots of this go back centuries. What’s one more scandal?

Someone should remind the gutless Cardinal to include in the “Prayer of the Faithful” the millions of babies killed in abortion through Kennedy’s active support.

I told my sister yesterday that Kennedy would get at least a Bishop and maybe a Cardinal to say his mass.
It’s disgusting , he shouldnt even get a Catholic funeral.
Catholic heirarchy in this country have sucked up to the Kennedy;s for years.

Cardinal Sean P. O'Malley of Boston will preside at the funeral of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy tomorrow at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help On another thread, you said
Calm down. The Mass isn't being said by the archbishop or at the cathedral. That's standard protocol. He's being buried out of the mission run by the Redemptorists. It's not a full honors thing. The official Church isn't participating, at least not the archdiocese, or the Jesuits for that matter. And the circus isn't being directed by the Church either. In the Church's way, the stamp of disapproval was just applied. It was just done in actions, not words.... ....Tradition is that public officials and police and fireman killed in the line of duty are buried from the cathedral with the bishop presiding. The official archdiocesan church is NOT participating in this funeral. OMalley hasnt put a seal of approval on this at all. Well know for sure if he shows up there tomorrow, but I doubt he will.
Now that a Cardinal is presiding, does that change things?

John McCain knows exactly where to stand and who to stand next to in order to get his mug on camera.
I won't be surprised to see him standing behind the TOTUS POTUS as the eulogy is being delivered by Obamalot.

This is a scandal.
What are the chances that any of these priests will say one word about the role Kennedy played advancing the Culture of Death during his life?
I'd say 0%.

I am watching the funeral. Just caught something very disappointing.
All 3 persons — Kennedy’s daughter and step children, who walked to and from the pulpit from the pew, did not stop to genuflect or even bow at the Tabernacle.
This goes to show just how much their parents taught them about the Mass.
