Stance about-face at issue.
BY JULIA DUIN
Evangelical leaders say they are bewildered and stunned by the Rev. Rick Warren's apparent turnaround on gay marriage after the famous California pastor said earlier this week that he was not a proponent of California's Proposition 8.
Mr. Warren told CNN's Larry King on Monday that he "never once even gave an endorsement" of the proposition, which said marriage in the state could only involve one man and one woman. The measure won at the polls last November by a close margin, in effect negating an earlier California Supreme Court ruling allowing gay marriages.
Proponents of the proposition had gathered from earlier comments that Mr. Warren stood with them on the issue, and they reacted vigorously to his CNN interview.

People just like him have had their own demons with infidelity, homosexuality, etc.
If Warren is a closet case, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least.

Hugh Hewitt, a longtime champion of Rick Warren, is also a longtime champion of Mitt Romney.
At least he's consistent in the kinds of "conservatives" he supports!

Pastor Warren, I guess must have been out of town the day they taught 1 Timothy at divinity school.

This is what happens when a church is more focused on growth than the gospel..

I can’t think of an evangelical “leader” who would be shocked by Rick Warren taking the wide path.

Pretty much sums it up.
growth, success of Warren > Gospel

Hugh Hewitt, a longtime champion of Rick Warren, is also a longtime champion of Mitt Romney. Hewitt also fully supported Rudy Giuliani. He is Republican hack more than a Christian.

I’m hoping this is about confusion and mischievous “reporting”. Proposition 8 was pretty clear, and Warren came out in favor of it, which was the right thing to do. What, he takes a little flak from “opponents” and then goes all wobbly? You can’t be all things to all people, just to be “popular”. Warren of all people should know better.

Maybe the O invited Warren to stay at the White House. So Rick sold his soul to the Imam.

Warren is publicly exposing himself for whom he really is. A marketer, not a man of God. Jesus said “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15), and God demands heterosexual marriage, not sodomy. 1 John 2:3-4 says, “We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

Haven't people figured out by now that Rick Warren traded Biblical principles in for money and power?
GEESH!
It's so OBVIOUS.
He's also the main culprit behind the entertainment driven “church”. Warren is a self serving wolf in sheep's clothing. He's another fraud. It's no wonder he spoke at the Obomination’s inauguration.
