Through you, the Trinity is glorified.
Through you, the Cross is venerated throughout the world.
Through you, angels and archangels rejoice.
Through you, the demons are driven away.
Through you, the fallen creature is raised to heaven.
Through you, the churches are founded in the whole world.
Through you, people are led to conversion.

Christianity would be meaningless without the Blessed Virgin.

...understatement of all time.

The only One who gives meaning to Christianity is the Lord Jesus Christ. His incarnation, death, burial, and resurrection are the only events of meaning. Other than bearing the Christ Child, and raising Him, Mary contributed nothing to the meaning of Christianity.

It all depends on our faith in her maternal care and our trust in her influence over the almighty hand of her Son.

Just a bit over the top.

My Father in Law just passed away Thanksgiving Night. My wife spent many hours with him, as his terminal condition progressed. Much of this time, he slept, and he refused most food and water.
He was a sinner, and not a Church going man, and not a Catholic by any upbringing or conversion. But late in life, he acquired a new fiancee, a lady who we came to call “Christmas Carol.” Carol loved to Celebrate Christmas, and began her Christmas planning in January.

Before they could marry, she died of Cancer in July of 2000. We took many of her Christmas mementos, Angels, and Manger scenes, and celebrated her passing at the funeral home. Bill kept her ashes with him, and made plans to be buried with her. He lost a leg to diabetes, and then gradually lost his appetite for life, as he succumbed to many afflictions.

Two days before he died, in a moment of lucidity, he asked my wife, “Did you see that Mary is here?” Since they were alone, my wife questioned him, "No, What Mary are you talking about?”
“You know,” he replied, “The Virgin Mary, the one with the baby Jesus.”

Would Jesus Christ have been born according to God’s plan if it had not been for the Blessed Virgin Mary?

Mary was the first Christian.

Considering there was so much prophesy about the Messiah way before Mary, that is an odd claim to make.

Oh, my, what a moving story! God bless him. Was he baptized a Catholic before he died?

The only One who gives meaning to Christianity is the Lord Jesus Christ.

That may be true but, as freeper 'the invisible hand' pointed out, without Mary there would not have been a christianity. God did not raise up 'alternate' mothers. He chose her and her alone.
