why is this being posted 6 months after the fact?
I did not see the movie in the theater, but I will rent it at Block buster, just to see what the hype is about.
2. I saw it. It was AWFUL!
3. I heard the mythology behind it (the Priory of Sion, the St. Clairs, etc.) from a Cermelite Priest when I was in high school. Anyone who believes that the DVC is a work of serious scholarship probably rode the small bus to school.
I protested by not buying the book (I borrowed someone elses).
I protested by not spending one cent on the movie (I borrowed someone elses DVD). I think it was blasphemy anyway you cut it.
Sony was also responsible for releasing the rootkit virus that their music division used to "protect" their CDs. It caused havoc for anyone who had the bad luck to play any of those CDs.
I used to think that Sony was a good company, but they have some very irresponsible people working in their entertainment divisions.
Classic much ado about nothing.
Wait a minute Clemenza... I rode the short bus, and I would never believe it. LOL
"Why are you concerned about the date?"
Question: Why are YOU concerned about my asking a simple question?
You never answered my question concerned with minutia.?
"minutia.?"
After looking at your "about" page, I think that YOU are the one concerned with minutia.
Look at the TFP's homepage. They have a link detailing their 2006 in review. Their DaVinci Code protest would be part of that.
Thanks Pyro.
This DaVinci Code movie thread makes me want to see it, just to see what all of the protests are about! Originally, I thought that I would not bother spending the money on just another Hollywierdo production. I'll pick up a copy at the video store this week. There were 40 copies of the movie in Blockbuster and they were all rented.
see, nothing but minutia from you. just in post 3.
So, what else do you have to offer on the FR besides asking dumb questions?
Why would you want to see it?
I prefer non-fiction books, but I read mystery novels on occasion. I view the DVC movie as being in the same category as Gore's Inconvenient Truth. Both are fiction, but I will see Gore's movie for the scenery when it is on TV just as I saw Michael Moron's movie for laughs when it was on the cable channel. I watch MSM for entertainment and to learn what the other side is saying, I will do the same with the DVC movie. I have no desire to read the DVC book though.
