You may as well have said...to some degree, all prevalent in human beings.
Hmmmmm ......
Yes, that is true, because we are all sinners. But do we really try to avoid these sins?
That brought a chuckle. (I don't think you ever meant your screename in that way, however.)
Gal 5:19-21
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
I tried to avoid these Seven Dealy Sins, tried real hard. :)
I believe that people act the way they are designed...after people were here, these sins were created, to explain behavior and to help maintain some semblance of order in society.
Wow, I'm 0 for 7! But at least I've enjoyed my life.
I think we can tell St. Paul a big "thank you" for including all these in his letter to the Galatians! Maybe these words will resounds with others to whom the words "Seven Deadly Sins" sound horrific.
I don't think you are saying that the devil does NOT have a part in these sins, are you? Or are you merely saying that it is the weakness of the human will and origial sin that cause one to sin in these ways?
I think we are all falling off our chairs laughing at that -- oops are we taking joy at someone else's misforotune -- Sorry I had to say it. LOL!
**"We are not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and we will be healed!"**
Amen!
He is one fellow where you kind of go through the list looking for something he DIDN'T do! LOL
Thanks for stopping by.
Hey, no problem. I'm in the middle of Sin #7...* Spending useless time planted before the T.V. or computer.
Got your flame suit handy?
I Jn 2:16
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Gal 5:16
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Both Adam and Eve tried to blame everyone but themselves.
