Sharon Davis: I Was Groped, Too (Desperation?)
Newsmax ^ | 10/6/03 | Carl Limbacher

Posted on 10/06/2003 1:06:40 PM PDT by truthandlife

Even California first lady Sharon Davis wants to get into the act, diving into the Schwarzenegger accusathon Sunday night to detail her own humiliating groping experience while working as a mini-skirted flight attendant decades ago.

"I worked for the airlines," Mrs. Davis told CNN's "Larry King." "In fact, I worked for PSA when we wore short little uniforms."

"Because of the type of uniform we wore people felt like they could take liberties and it was humiliating and so I understand [why Arnold's accusers are upset]," she explained.

Asked if male passengers had ever grabbed her, Mrs. Davis told King, "Oh, well, yes. Or they would say things that you would know they would never want said to their daughter or their wife or their girlfriend or their niece and it's so humiliating."

She said she identified with Arnold's alleged grope victims, explaining, "I understand these women not coming forward because you're so humiliated. You really want to put it out of you mind. You want to just put it behind you but it's really always there."

Mrs. Davis did not explain how she managed to endure the company one of her husband's most prominent supporters, serial sexual predator Bill Clinton, while suffering through her grope flashbacks.

There are now services on the internet where you can get cyber-groped for a small fee.

Perhaps you weren't flying back in the '60s and '70s. It was an entirely different atmosphere. Stewardesses were all young, pretty, and single: once a girl was married or hit about 30, she was let go, although there were some mid-30's single women as senior stews for the international carriers. They all had college degrees and, for airlines that flew internationally, they had to be competent, if not fluent, in a foreign language. It was considered a plum job for young women, many of whom met their husbands through their jobs. They travelled extensivley, had plenty of layover days abroad, and mixed with the relatively wealthy, or at least upper middle class professional, people who flew. Some of the girls, fresh from the college sorority/fraternity party scene, like to party. And most of them, at least, would flirt. I flew fairly often as a student in the late '60s and early '70s, and I don't think I was ever on a flight that at least one stewardess didn't flirt. 99.9% of it was the innocent flirtation of young men and women, but sometimes it was more.

Rare video of a stewardess being groped by a passenger without her permission:

(notice how she uses her hand to keep his fingers from CREEPing up her inner thigh...)

I'm sorry, I didn't want to make is sound like you were telling a story -- I started flying in the 70s and I remember some of that (I didn't fly much).

But, you have to admit that your post, with some details, would have made a great Penthouse Letter to the Editor with that same opening... ;)

Was she ever groped by Larry King?

Naw, he passes out autographed copies of his mug shot to all the girls in lieu of groping.

What a baby she is. I've had my butt grabbed before. You give a few harsh words to the grabber and move on with life.

fair enough. My own one experience (as wild as it as) was mild to the sort of things I heard from girls I knew who were stews. Many of them I knew looked at it as sowing their wild oats and travelling while someone actually paid them to have fun for a few years between college and settling down to suburban married life. Acquaintances who were pilots in those days told similarly debauched tales. The airlines semi-tolerated the shennanigans as long as it didn't get out of hand because it added to the glamor of air travel. My friends who flew for a few years, a few of whom were on the wild side, most of whom weren't very wild, all say they wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

Women who get groped: Why don't you turn around and smack the groper right across the face and scream bloody murder RIGHT THEN AND THERE! Why would you let a groper grope you and do nothing, you fool.

What's next? Hillary accusing Arnold of a grope?

The RATs are all running over the cliff with their hatred of Arnold because he's got an (R) after his name.

Remember during the debate how Arriana Nothington taunting Arnold about 'the way you treat women'? I now wonder if she was clued in on the 'dirty tricks' that Davis & LA Slimes were working on?

As soon as she dropped out she went for NO on recall and has been all over the media acting outraged about Arnold's alleged gropes. She claimed to be an Independent but she acts like a rabid democRAT.

I'm just sick of this Shi*. In order for a Democrat to take the shelacking(sp) that Arnold has, it would have to be a Republican leading the assault. As I've said before, when Republicans are the targets, the media all of the suddden becomes Woodward and Bernstein...and Mike Hammer. The Democrats don't even have to get their hands dirty, as their liberal minions in the media do the dirty work for them. On the other hand, when democrat malfeascence is in question, the media not only ignores it, it attacks any Republican who might bring it to light. It really is the perfect ensemble: Democrats can appear above the fray as their media lap-dogs go after their enemies...and at the same time when Republicans try to expose even worse discretions, the Democrats and media can portray Republicans as mean-spirited and vengeful.

While I have no doubt that Davis and Mulholland are behind these dirty tricks, the fact that it is a major media outlet that is participating in these attacks, is deplorable. This is the same tactic as the Bush DUI story a week before the 2000 general election. Yet, if you recall, the media's excuse for burying the Juanita Broderick rape charge was because they didn't want to influence the impeachment hearing; the reason they buried the Gore/roomate/marijuana story was because they didn't want to cloud the Democratic National Convention. Interestingly, the entire debate over Clinton's sexual escapades during the 1992 election, weren't brought to light by Repubicans but by Jerry Brown during his primary debates with Clinton. Instead of the media becoming the investigative journalist they usually are when going after Republicans, it was concerned conservatives who had to do the job. But instead of looking into the mounds of evidence presented to the public (including Flowers' own tape conversation w/Clinton that was attacked by Katie Couric), the media not only ignored the stories, they attacked those making the charges, including the messengers. This is in such stark contrast to what they are doing to Arnold based on even less evidence.

While you will always have partisans who will attack the credibility of accusers, it is the media that has been totally inconsistent. We saw this with the way Anita Hill was treated by the media and how Paula Jones was; we saw this with how Linda Tripp was treated for recording a conversation to protect herself, and how a Florida couple was treated for taping a conversation between New Gingrich and an RNC Offical. The "media" is all upset about the release of privlidged information about Wilson's wife (and they should be) but when Ken Bacon released Tripp's personal files and Wiley's personal letters to Clinton, the media not only ignored the seriousness of such a breech, but used that information to discredit the women. Chuck Colson goes to jail for one FBI file, yet the investigative media can't muster the courage or influence to get to the truth about 900+ FBI files in the Clinton WH. The stories are endless and the media's duplicity is shameless. If the media were truly objective, the Demcrats would never see the seat of power again.
