I have done a heroic job of containing my impatience and wrath. I saw an interesting sign the other day. It said, "Hating someone is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die."
I don't know if it's appropriate to you or not, but it's something to think about when you're feeling wrathful.

So the whole "newbie to FR", "what is a retread?" thing was a ruse just to throw us all off, huh? ; ) Well *I* believed he'd lurked long enough to know about "live threads" and how to post threads, but hadn't picked up on what a "newbie" or a "retread" was, didn't YOU? ;-)

You posted regarding Alan Keyes:
He resembles a tin pot dictator from some backward, corrupt African cesspool. He'd look snappy in a set of fatigues ;-)
I must have a short sense of humor this morning, but my reaction to your post was that you certainly missed the context of Amb. Keyes words. He is an educated, amazing spokesman for our constitution and a hero beyond measure in today's PC CESSPOOL.
You place Alan Keyes alongside the words- Corruption? Backward black from some African cesspool? Pathetic.
But you are in good company-I am sure Barbra Striesand, Robby Reiner, Tommy Hanks, Woody Harrelson, etc would agree with you-in spades.

So nice to see Dr. Keyes again. I was wondering where he went. We haven't heard from him in a long time- Brilliant commentary as always. The whole thing he said about the lawyers clique- that was just mind blowing - right on the mark.
I really miss his show on TV- it was great. You have to really listen to him though, in order to get what he is saying. I guess that was too much to ask from the average TV veiwer. But then again I don't think MSNBC was serious about giving conservatives a voice on their channel either. (Wish Fox News would give him a show)
God Bless him and Judge Moore for making a stand against the tyrannical judges.

"I watched Dr. Keyes' TV show, and I'd say it was over the heads of many."
It was also beneath many. Not everyone digs his style, and I have to admit I'm one of them.

"Garvitas? When the last time we heard that term thrown around? And who-all were doing the throwing?"
Does that discount the truthfulness of my statement?

No Moron, I am at an accredited secular College, which is more than I can say for you.

If you're teaching criminal justice based on what you post, then you need to see to it that some students are getting refunds. You're not providing value for their tuition dollars.

The truth is in the documents, and not in uneducated mouths who resist studying.
Check it out before you speak, and find the original documents, the info was provided so do the research properly and you will get the truth.
To: Luis Gonzalez
Just because you can take a quote from someone doesn't mean you have any evidence as to the truth. Look up the documents I spoke of, as they are historical fact. Any blowhard can speak and be quoted, including you!
To: Robert_Paulson2
You are a misguided atheist. This has nothing to do with church and state. It is a matter of historical fact, and I don't believe in erasing history to please a bunch of undeducated fools.

You nuts want to throw the baby out with the bathwater and the constitution doesn't give you that right. It rather gives us the right to prevent it. Congress shall make NO law.. It is in no way vague. The clause was designed to allow people their religious freedom while keeping the government from forcing you to become Catholic, Mormon, etc.
The government is not forcing you to become christian by acknowledging there is a God. It is not forcing you to become Christian by noting that our system of laws is based on the ten commandments. It has compelled you to do nothing. You're intollerance on the other hand compells you to throw a fit because you don't like God or Christianity I would assume. That would be your problem, not ours or that of the Constitution.
As long as the Government Doesn't force you to be of religion X or prevent you from practicing religion X, it has just about met it's obligation. The government cannot infringe your right to pursue your own religious convictions. It doesn't give you the right to suspend the government from stating it's opinions. I would note that it's opinions are not law nor are they an infringement against you in any way. So let's drop the pretense. Cause this fact is what has people up in arms right now and most of us have had it.

AS for my students they are entering some of the major positions in the United States, because they are equipped with truth and not lies. As for your evaluation of me, don't think the word Chancellor in front of your name gives you any credibility, respect is earned. Obviously you haven't spent any time studying history properly. As for criticizing what I have to say, you haven't had time to actually look it up before responding, that's like putting salt on your food before tasting it! It shows you have a lot to learn!

What is a "major position in the United States"? You write as if English is not your first language, for somebody who claims to be a college instructor.

He taps into an anger level that most Americans simply cannot deal with. He's SO passionate, that he comes off too angry, rather than passionately involved. All the little (and there are thousands of them) sheep who can't deal with conflict to save their lives...and the rest of us, who need a bit of a break at the end of the day, hear Alan rant, and say...I agree, but I just can't deal with that intensity level right now. IMO, Alan is one of a very small number of persons whose emotions align perfectly with their intellects. When the truth is at stake, passion is appropriate. Unfortunately, this frightens many people. Fighting injustice demands... fighting. And most people don't want to get their hands dirty.
Revelation I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
We all have to fight against our own indifference to the truth.

I never imagined so many people hated Keyes here. I'm almost sorry I started this thread. If you haven't already noticed, it's a gang of ten or so. They show up on every Keyes thread. As to their motivation, your guess is as good as mine. Most of their attacks are ad hominem and content free, which leads me to suspect a personal vendetta of some kind.

Actually, people did go to jail. They were from my area and the local news covered it. They talked to the protestors who were sitting in jail at the time.
