Thomas Jefferson also explicitly stated that Hinduism and Islam and other "foreign" faiths were protected religions under the 1st Amendment. So did Richard Henry Lee. So does the historical record of the North Carolina ratifying convention. And, last but not least, so did James Madison. Roy Moore disagrees. Do you?I do agree that all faiths are protected in the United States. I think Roy Moore would also agree. A principle of Christianity is loving protection from harm. Other religions can practice and meet and speak free from harm in our country. But it would be silly to put up a monument to Buddha in the courthouse and try to make a case for Buddhist principles being integral to the history of our legal system.

I seriesly question why/how anyone could find the 10 Commandments "offensive". Actually, I do not believe anyone does. I believe such is only a liar's claim. Since I am not the one arguing that the mere presence of the Ten Commandments are "offensive", I am probably not the one to answer your questions.
To: lugsoul
Sure - It will be a little while, cause I've gotta go hunt them down again and I'm in the middle of a couple of things. My favorites, BTW, are that other faiths like Hinduism and Buddhism are not "religion" for purposes of being protected by the 1st Amendment, and that people of other faiths only have the freedom to worship their God because Christianity allows them to do so.
No one should forget that the USA was FOUNDED by CHRISTIANS. Immigration has ruined this great country.

Just don't put on anything from this year's Cabelas catalogue. The whole thing was....disturbing.

"Jesus; was he a liar, lunatic, or Lord?"
I have no idea. Assuming this person actually lived, all we have of his life are a bunch of stories written long after he died. I assume he actually did live a couple thousand years ago. Was he a liar? I have no idea. Was he a lunatic? I have no idea. Was he Lord? Well, I'd have to say no, since I don't believe in any supernatural entities or deities.
It's of little importance to me. You're welcome to believe whatever you wish. Are you willing to let me do the same?

(We homeschool. They're not getting their filthy, vile hands on our kids). Not all conservatives can afford homeschool or private school. My wife and I both have to work. We can only hope that the school system will be cleaned up some day.

The precedences are with out merit if there wasn't any statute of law...Again, there isn't a seperation of Church and state. It's the liberal who wants to flee from God and morality and ignore the standards given to everyman.
Congress cannot make any law repecting any religion, nor stoping any free exercize of it...

in other words, you want me to weaken my case to make your pathetic one look better. If you can't make your case in less than 10,000 words, you can't make it, because nobody's going to read your post, except a few who agree with you.

ROTFLMAO...of yeah...tell that to my Prod ancestors in France and elsewhere that got butchered by that "minority".
The world's majority Christian denomination is Catholic. Which oddly I could care less about unless some choose to engage folks for being Prod as though that's wrong.

There ya' go. Forget the law, eh, and just let the mob rule. Is that really what you want?

It is to laugh. Nogod rules over me. Nogod will save me. Nogod tells me what to do. I worship Nogod.

We can only hope that the school system will be cleaned up some day.Maybe another good thing to hope for is that you can get your state and local government to stop spending your taxes on these failures so that you can put the money towards homeschooling or private schooling.

At what point did this begin? Or do you contend it should still be a land of native tribes?

I think it Madline O'Hara or something like that who was the Top Dog Atheist in your belief, and she was betrayed and murdered by her followers if I am correct, I think Atheism is not conducive whatso ever with a civilized culture.
I would say this Madeline woman is proably being tortured by demons or maybe she just did

"Any faith that would allow Animal and human Sacrafices.

Human sacrifices, yes, but not animal sacrifices. Have you not been following along? If your religion uses animal sacrifice in its worship, you're free to do so. Such has been decided in several court cases. So, go ahead and kill the fatted calf if you like, or slaughter a ram before your deity. Nobody can stop you.

Much of the support for "separation" in the early 20th century was by anti-Catholics, including Hugo Black. That's irony...
