I bet that same dictionary has "gay" defined as sexual pervert too.

"I bet Kyan is more masculine"

Sure, that's why he wants to 'boff' other guys. :::Rolls eyes:::

"We change mens habits every day."

Does your man change your habits?

I'm a woman - if I didn't like the 'habits' of a guy, I wouldn't date or marry him, hoping I could change him into what I actually wanted. It's not fair to him. And it's a double standard. Women don't want men to change them - they want to be loved and accepted for who they are.

Am I the only one with gay friends?????

I have children. I can't afford to have 'homosexuals' around. Remember the third law of homosexuality:

Any exposure of children to homosexual behavior is child abuse

Since when does being gay mean you are public enemy #1 to conservatives. A best friend of my wife and I is gay. Bigotry is not a part of Christian or conservative values in my opinion. Some of you really need to lighten up and be more tolerant.

Oh where to start. For one thing the SADs are trying to destroy marriage and every other moral structure in this country. They are attacking the church, the boy scouts, and everything else that is good and true.

If you are Christian (which your post implies) than you had better warn your friend about the fire coming his way (I assume you don't mean that he's happy). When he goes to hell you will be held accountable for it. As Christians we are commanded not to tolerate sin but to confront those in sin and correct them, offering them salvation through Jesus Christ.

It is not bigotry to hate sin.

And since when did being conservative cooralate with telling people how they should live their lives?????

You identify as being Christian. You are required by the word of God to tell people how they should live their lives. Read the Book

I have done that a couple of times with a dear gay male friend of mine. I've even referenced the relevant Bible verses. He gets uncomfortable when I bring it up, but he is a Christian and I hope I'm helping to plant a seed.

Good work. But he's not a Christian yet. He needs to repent of his sexual deviancy first. See 1 Cor 6:9-11. Keep up the good work

The show seems less about changing habits, but more about cleaning your act up and showing what the results of that. The man who gets madeover sees the result and will either accept it and reap the rewards or he wont.

I'm not offended when they are happy either. If they are practicing homosexual behavior however, I am very concerned as they are in danger of hell fire. And since SADs die much earlier than mentally healthy people they don't have much time to repent and be saved.

Wasn't there also something somewhere about "Judge not...lest you be judged."? I can understand the outrage that many here may feel about Hollywood legitimizing the Gay lifestyle ...and it certainly didn't start with this show( it harkens back to Will and Grace,Ellen Degeneris, even an episode of "All In the Family" tried to change Archie Bunker's preconception). I've seen every episode of this new series and found it a wierd but funny knock-off of the home improvement and "what not to wear"stuff proliferating the cable these days. These gay dudes are cleverly laughing their way to the bank...but this silly ,dumb stuff has a relatively short shelf life. What bothers me is what someone may try to do to upstage it...that's where the trouble is...we're becoming desensitized to the sex and violence aspect of movies and T.V....And that's been going on a long time.Frankly...this series harkens back a little bit to the "Odd Couple"..did anyone complain about Tony Randle? No...and as long as the sexual aspect of this is kept where it belongs...I don't care to know the details of anyone's sex life...homo or hetero.

And you are still with her? After reading some comments here you would think that this show has the power to turn you into a flaming leather chaps wearing, Barbara Streisand listening, limp wristed homosexual after one viewing.

LOL!! I think it's a harmless show...to me it's just a makeover show (and I don't tend to watch those) with a humorous light-in-the-loafers twist.

Now, that other one I've seen advertised on Bravo..."Boy Meets Boy" looks sort of perverted. I've had no desire to actually watch that one.

See 1 Cor 6:9-11

That's one of the ones I have referenced to him. The other is in Romans 1. Can't remember the verse offhand.

From Article:Among the latter was that secular American Cardinal Jay Leno, who on national TV recently had his ear-hairs pruned and his skin marinated in green carbon-derivative. Notwithstanding the perplexing anomaly of a huge silver Crawford Texas belt buckle, Mr. Leno smilingly turned from his usual denim caterpillar into a Milanese butterfly, turtlenecked in dark striped suit.

Queer Eye made Jay Leno queer looking.

TV is getting more and more disgusting.

Some people, including Catholics like myself, are not offended by someone being gay.

As a Catholic, I take strong exception to your referencing Catholicism having anything to do with your acceptance of homosexuality.

What say ye Catholics? Does he speak for you?

(If you want on or off my Catholic ring list, please FReep mail me)

As I understand it, the Cathechism teaches a "love the sinner, hate the sin" line regarding homosexuality.

I can see some NY Yankee fan grabbing the guys face trying to make him say, More saurkraut with having a lisp.

It would be an excellent show.

Indeed.

And as to the question of - Am I offended by someone “being gay” (i.e., unless specifically stated otherwise, gay includes both inclined toward and a practitioner of homosexual acts)?

Since there is no provision to distinguish the sin from the sinner in this case, my answer is an unequivocal yes.

Some people, including Catholics like myself, are not offended by someone being gay.

As a devout Catholic who follows the teachings of The Church I am very offended by rampant sexual perversion, whatever you call it. Moreover I am offended that you would imply your alleged Catholicicsm has anything to do with your acceptance of that revolting, sinful practice.

If you accept homosexuality (or other forms of extramarital intercourse) then you are an apostate Catholic. You should familiarize yourself with The Church's teachings. If you disagree with them then you should shop around for an obscure Episcopal sect.
